Really most people are content with 1.5k buff, not everyone can find these uber 4k buff that u give out. I think anything over 1-2k on 2nd stats will make u pretty hard to kill alrdy.

Speak for yourself. 1.5k is crap.

It is crap, but it aint 800, which is why i said content.

And Lexy, i never said dont voice ur opinion, just dont go off saying Zarlor did this, or that, when there are threads that say different. U r entitle to say the system doesnt work. But to say Zarlor did it wrong, or his systems is flawed, should of been something u'd mentioned back when u voted for it.

I on the other hand never voted, so i really cant say one way or the other. Its like a real election, if u arent involved u really have no right to be angry at who won. I can care less about the buffing issue, It ur disrespect to Zarlar on 2 threads that i'm voicing my free speech on.

Maybe I'm just confused or never read to the end of some thread here, but I could swear that when we took a vote, we voted to keep in the randomness but get the chance to override a bad buff. So now the devs took out the randomness. What's up with that???

If it's all going to come down to a resources game, which is what it looks like (especially when you combine our medical stuff with the other changes they made to crafting & experimentation), my life is going to be spent hunting down resources even more than it is now. I'm not sure that's what any of us wanted.

Am I not remembering the discussion correctly?

I'd love to test the doc stuff on test center. Unfortunately, by the time I create a new character, level it up to Master Doctor, gather the resources needed to craft meds and then find some clients to test it on, I'll be old and grey and the Space Expansion will have been live for years.

What ever happened to character copy? Or to the little mini-test they did with taking Bria and making a TC version of it? If they'd let me copy over my character (and my resources), or did a TC version of Sunrunner, I'd be happy to go test this stuff out all day long.

Yes and no. The vote was pretty much undecided, well 52% for the no variability when only given the opeion of No Variability over the Current level of variability. At any rate, not enough to cover the margin of error. Technicall it was a vote for removal.. .barely. At any rate, our Dev decided that the answer would be the buff overwrite options. We did pass on that our preference, however, would still be for a reduced level of variability over removal.

For some reason (and I can now confirm, as others have) they decided to ALSO to do the variability removal. We don't really know why beyond speculation.

I think it's pretty obvious why they did it. Withre-buffing and the variability that allows for 3.5k buffs anything short of 3k-3.5k gets re-buffed. So realistically the new variability would become 3k-3.5k versus the current range of 1k-3.5k.

I agree that I also think that is the likely reason. And I think they may have a point with the combat revamp coming down the pipe as well. If nothing else we are learning more about that nutty formula than we ever knew before, now that we can see the straight effects. Very, very lose to what we suspected was happening. Now I jsut need to get a med droid for Traigus and com clothes for him. I think we already have the food...

We need Traigus/Zarlor/Texxie to give the devs a /poke on the correspondants board and find out just whatexactly this means. Whether they totally removed the variablity (like it sounds) or something else.

What exactly does this mean? I dont think many of us docs' had a problem with the randomness per say, it was just the RANGE of randomness that was hard to deal with.

It probably means all the whining about it paid off and now we're going to be stuck with something like 2000 max buffs. Thanks a lot you bunch of freakin cry babies.
