Most people seem to go TKA...I myself got a holo to do Heavy Swordsman and I know I am keeping it. Love the skill..
Same with my wife's char (AKA my alt). Her next Holo is Rifleman, but I am not sure I'm gonan do that. I do not think MD/Master Rifle is a good combo. This is because both skills use the same bar for "specials" the mind. Heavy Swords use mostly health (with a Powerhammer anyway) And that works great with Doc.

Actually, MD/Rifleman/woman is not a bad combo either. When you stat migrate everything into the three mind pools and self-buff your other six health/action pools, the mind "specials" end up regenerating so quickly, you cannot get your blue bars down even by spamming specials all the time. Coupled with the new chef foods (and drinks -- vasarian brandy), the mind bars should not be a majorconcern with continuing your holo-grinding.
As Master Rifleperson, you can use a rifle close up as well and your own damage is minimal while buffed. So I'd suggest you try it; you may like the combo.

Doctor/TKM hands down. There isn't much that you can't solo except for Kimos and Krayt's of course. I have this combo and won't drop it for anything (slot already unlocked :smileyhappy![]()
Wrong, i'm the guy from Kettemore that soloed a Greater Dune Kimo and i was not even amaster TKA and all i got was a lousy scale.
If you know what you are doing you can solos Kimo's too.

"What's wrong with Carbineers?"
Ridiculous HAM costs and very poor accurancy when moving. I'm a Carbineer and will probably change it.

I am doc/CH. You can buff yourself and your pet. With Stim E's you can keep you pet alive with ease. With a nice bio enhanced Kimo with buffed secondaries there is little that you can not kill.
If you are pvp'ing you can befriend your pet then set up a camp and heal folks.
Having hunt 4 also helps gather your own resouces.

/throws in two cents
I am Master doc and workin on mastering rifleman. I like this combo because I've had to toggle my HAM so that I have Huge MInd, Focus, and Willpower, leaving me with very little health and action. That means I can keep away from most of the action while assisting my guildmates. When you are master, u can run and still shoot your target. Which is really helpful if u need to heal someone who couldnt reach you first.
If you are soloing, its good to have because you can buff and then fire off concealment shot without being noticed. You can take on some hard stuff on your own that way. If you're worried about the mind costs with these two professions combined, by tons of chef food. The foods they have these days are awsome!!
But most importantly, have a combat profession u love to do!

Master Doctor + Melee is my vote. I've been an MD for a while now and have tried a lot of different paired classes. They all work really well with doctor, but melee is the most useful. One, because you can solo like nobody's business. The other reason is that, because of the 5m healing/rezing range, you need to be up front and in the action when fighting with a group. Standing back with a gun means running in to aid allies and then back out to range all the time. Melee also makes you hardy so you won't waste as much precious mind healing yourself.
As for melee, swordsman is my favorite for heinous damage, good speed, area control, and mind damage without huge mind pool hits.

What happened to all of the doc/carbineers, I can't be the only one left
(And I'm 4-4-2-3, soon to be 4-4-3-3 too....)
Once (/wonders when) the dizzy states get fixed on theFullAutos, that should make up for the 'charge shot bug fix' that happened in this patch. Other than that, I just like being able to hit for decent damage, with some nice state affecting too (and once I hit master, I can shoot just that much faster). Although yes, I must say rifleman, once you master it at least, is probably the most powerful ranged class out there with their heavy hitting and high AP guns, not to mention being speed capped I think as well.
