Thread: buff price suggestion
I charge a pre-buff rate of 6K. I refund 500 cr to any buff under 2000. Needless to say, I'm a popular buffer.
The balance you need to strike is between price and marketability. Just the mention of a refund is enough to get most people to choose you as their buffer than the guy sitting next to you chariging the same price.
And it all comes down to the long term. Whose making more: the guy charging 10K with less customers or the guy charing 6-7K with a lot of customers.
p.s. I also don't believe in the cr per pt system. Try doing that in CNet with 15 people in line /yuck.

My prices are similar to the 1cpbu(credit per buff unit), but a little easier to do the math on
1k per 1k buffed rounded down per stat. Anything under 1k is free.
0 - 999 = Free
1000 - 1999 = 1k
2000 - 2999 = 2k
3000+ = 3k
I have a note pad that I just use the picket fence counting and let them know at the end.
If you have reason not to trust people you can make them pay after each stat is buffed.
With 817 packs I average 8k - 9k for buffs. 12k isn't all that common but does happen.
And on the Freaky chance that you hit all 6 stats for 3k+ the bufee should be more than happy to pay 18k.
Ra'ma
10k. No regrets.
(its expensive as the avian meat is on rori, and only vir virs drop the meat)
and vir virs arent in missions, and the little tweety birds drop like 10 units max.
Also, Bloodfin has a "monopoly" in buffing supplies.
i did the math for my future buff crafting project.
currently im gather the best resources possible and when i mean thebest i mean im really snooping around constantly comparing stats to gather enough resources to craft 50 packcrates for all 6 enhancements buying stuff like DIDO class 4 which was a godly liquid class 4 on bria and is going for 30 cpu everywhere now... etc
now i did my math and the average uses for packs is 22.
so 50 packs per crate * 22 uses each= 1100 buffs
1100 buffs (assuming i dont useanything out of thecrates on myself or friends)* 10k upfront no refund no gaurantee policy (which everyone on bria is used too) = 11 million credits
and im pretty damn sure i can buff 1100 people within a weeks worth of play... then i can turn around and buy up crazy resources again for 1 million or so and then repeat exponentially .. double the packs double the income.. then go and buy enough resources to make 1000 use schematics for EACH buff ..
so at 1000 packs* 22 uses = 22000 buff sets to be done * 10k each = 220,000,000
muahahahahaha
i wish...
anyways thats my future plan for the medicine business to be able to accomplish 1000 packs for each stat and turn into the buffing god across the galaxy
there is some seriously easy cash to be made

My /reply macro says this:
10k for 2.5 hour buffs, 15k for 3h+. Results are random, duration is guaranteed. /tip when ready
Used to charge 5k for 860/10000 buffs until tonight but it just wasn't worth my time.
I like your pricing plan. Simple yet fair.

I Run my buffs depending on quality...
up to 999 : free
1000 - 1999: 1k
2000 - 2999: 2k
3000+: 3k
On advanced planets I'll add 500 such that:
up to 900 : 500
1000 - 1999: 1.5k
2000 - 2999: 2.5k
3000+ :3.5k
This is per stat... and i ask for tips after each stat is hit... people seem to like it... you end up paying for what you get
Im thinking of adding a cap.. but.. feeling out how this is working out...
