MorvenDee. That is exactly what I do as well. That whole post sums up what docs do in combat.

No matter your tactic, remember once the enemy knows who you are, your toast! They will kamakzie<sp> you as soon as they can.

Nice thread, I'm climbing doc (at least to some lvl of buffs and rezing) but want to PvP and am unsure if i'll have enough SP left for a good combat setup. I now know that my doc skills will be part of combat (which I like). I've also noticed, and maybe this is so obvious that no one bothered to mention it, but ranged combat skills really compliment the fighting doctor. I can engage in combat with a mob, then run around, heal other ppl, do whatever and keep shooting at my target. It seems like more advanced doctor skills don't allow this (someone mentioned they have to /peace before running their heal macro) but for now at least it works great. If I was a melee profession I'd be screwed. Conclusion - Ranged Professions go Much Better with Doctor than Melee. Specifically, a ranged profession that doesn't need to be mastered to do decent DPS at any range w/o using any specials. I'm choosing pistols

Don't have to do a /peace separately from the macro. All my macros begin with /peace as a safeguard against the combat queue. For example my rez hotkey is /peace; /reviveplayer; /healdamage (in one move itclears queue, lands rez, insta-heals health and action bars).
