I have never needed more than 1 cure shot to wipe out the poison or disease. An AoE cure could be a new schematic that has 100 Med Use and 100 Combat Med Use, thus requiring you to be a MCM / MD to use it.
A well crafted poison (100+ potency) is very rarely resisted, but that often means sacrificing effectiveness or range for potency. As for AoE cures, I've been against the idea (even though I am a doc), but if it was done as you suggest (usable only by MD/MCM) I would support it. Yes, the AoE poisons are a great weapon in PvP, but they are not the ultimate trump card. If you're a doc trying to support a group against a CM, select the 1 or 2 fighters (in addition to yourself) that have the best chance to quickly kill the CM and keep them cured. Don't try to keep a large group cured by yourself. After the CM is dead, you can start curing everyone. The most common mistake, IMHO, made by docs when facing CMs is to try to keep too many people cured. As soon as you start curing everyone in your group, you've made the size of your group work against you. It takes good coordination and some foresight, but CMs can be countered. Keep in mind, we have very little defensive abilities. While we can damage entire groups, we also have glass jaws.

IDEA:
Why not add poison/disease resistance to buff packs? Make it so you can experiment up the % of these resists. This would, of course, automatically deduct from the buff packduration and the power of the pack, simply because you are spending experimentation points on the poison/disease resist % and not on Ease of Use, Charges, Power or Duration or whatever it is you can do.
This would allow you to make "pure" buff packs (mostly for PvE players) which have a tiny % of innoculation becuase they are more for HAM increase, or Innoculation Packs (for PvP players) with a higher (but not too high - keep it fair) % of resistance and a moderate HAM buff. The better the resources used in the buff pack crafting, the higher the 'base' % of innoculation.

I believe the answer is food/drink. Not resist food/drink, but ones that reduce or stop the effectiveness for a period of time or reduce its damage until you get cured. You get poisoned, eat the food and the poison cuts in half, this gives doctors more time to cure people . Doctors should not get AE anything like CM's cause they dont use the additional 29 points for range. I also believe CM's should get cure poison and disease packs along with docs, this would make some CM's stop poisoning as much and make em cure more. One way or another poison/disease needs some rework and I have been a CM since release.
