I agree with most of what you are saying, but however, I think that in some cases it is taking advantage of the situation the player may be in. Now maybe I'm the only person like this, but I want to help people more than I want their money. A LOT of times, I will get people who I have previously buffed send me tells even if my tag is not on. I'll buff @ coronet 2-3 times a week for 2 hours each time, which is 50+ people each time. If the people know your prices are steady and buff quality is the same, they will ask for buffs at a later time. For my first couple of weeks of buffing, I charged 8k a set, and my average (according to the new publish) was about 2k even. After the publish, I needed to use quality bivoli so now I charge 10k. Everyone is happy with that and will pay that wherever they are. Even if I'm on a remote planet, that's what I'll charge.

Also, there comes a time when a person will need a re-buff, either they died, or got disconnected or whatever. If they were dying in battle in pvp (assuming they were fighting for my side), I'll give em a discount, usually 5-8k instead of 10k, same if they get kicked/disconnected.

Also, I cannot stress this enough to anyone that may not be a doctor, but it must be said. SEND TELLS, not spatials. In a busy place like coronet or theed, spatials get lost in the spam, yet people will continue to sit around me, then they complain that they were ahead of so-and-so. If you want in line, send a tell to the buffer, not hope that they see your random spatial.

Couldnt have said it better myself. Whilst I would like to be earning more than I am as I know I buff for more than 90% of the other docs on my server, I dont like the idea of charging more than 10k at the expense of upsetting customers who have come to know the quality of my buffs. I get people sending me /tells when Im off on Dath asking if I will be buffing anytime soon, because they know my buffs are quality at afair price. For the sake of say 2k extra per buff, it hardly seems worth it. Im not hurting for cash, no good doctor is.

I'd rather be known as having great buffs at the standard price than the guy who charges more for better buffs. I also think you would be suprised as to how many people value their extra 2k over say an extra 400 points of stat buff.

Kirdape brings up a great point. The repeat customer is a great customer so keep them happy.

I also have many repeat customers that go way back. I like to let them tip what ever they like and just leave it at that. When they have extra cash theytip extra when they don'thave the cash they tip on the low side. It all works out.

They have me added to thier friends list and send me a tell when they first log in. They are very nice and accept a "sorry, im not buffing at the moment" and when I am buffing they are happy to come to me.

If you see someone in your line often let them know they can add you to their friends list and maybe offer them a discount (as was suggested in a previous post).
