Wow I usually turn away from this offer and say that a quickness buff will leave me with 5 other buffs I can't use but after reading Marrow's post ... gotta change my mind .

Your right 100% Marrow I'll be spreading the love to those entertainers from now on !

Peace all

I either say "I only do full buffs" or I tell them its the same price as getting full buffs.

IF they want quickness, then let them pay for what they want! Some people need full buffs to help them hunt and do solo missions. OThers may need just a one stat buff to do other things as well. Both are still getting what they want so I think they should both pay the same price. If you give a ONE stat buff, you are basically making your buffpacks unproportioned and it will just bite you in the arse later. Giving one stat buffs is the same as giving a full buff cuz once you lose 1 quickness buff, you are short of giving a full buff later on so just charge the regular price for what they want.

oh no i have uneven amounts of buff doses.....give me a break. make another pack. or in the case of many people buy another pack. i make my own as i need them. i just keep all the resources in my pack and do it as i need. i have been a master doc for about 5 months now and this has worked well for me. you have enough time to craft while you buff someone. its not that tough really. also its not really a mystery when your pack is getting low that you need to make another one. even if you wait till the last min to make another pack. it only takes about a min and a half for it to craft. most times though i will just charge them about 1-2k or free for a single buff depending on how they ask. everyone is free to practice their own way though

I just joined the ranks of Doctor

I want to add that at 1500 quickness your action cost should be zero. So, any buff around ~1500 will be enough for a dancer or entertainer. Actually, since they will often have a decent quickness to start with, much less than 1500 is actually needed.

This is a good thread...I am going to start carrying around some low quality quickness buffs.

Good point sometimes i just go stand by the door infront of the cantina and buff all 3 action stats for all the entertainers in reach.

I do it and i ask 2k .. or a mind buff

Sometimes i do really need a mind buff, i go to cantina, shout "free action buff for a mind buff" i get replies 9/10 times.

I also craft my buffpacks so i save those "failed experimentations" for entertainers.

I offer full buffs, which are factory made. I also handcraft1 or2sets of "Entertainer Buffs" (Action, Quickness, Stamina) which I sell for half the price of a full buff. I will also buff single stats.

It honestly doesnt take any more time to craft them, which I do while I wait for a shuttle. I dont worry about my buff sets becoming disproportionate as I buff until I run out and at the price Im selling, even 10 full buffs is a good days pay.I wouldofferthe same for Health stats only, but to date have never had a request to buff only Health,Strength or Constitution yet.

As for storage space on me, I carry crated buffpacks inside a droid and pull what i need for that buffing session, and have another droid that holds just the entertainer buffs, leaving 3 more droids to fill with junk (not to mention what I can carry on me)

When an entertainer asks me for a quickness buff, I usually use my lesser quality enhance packs and charge 1k, and they are fine with that. My good buffs are saved for the full sets.

well I haven't been buffing all that long, just got Master Doc less than a week ago, but I don't craft my own, been buying em to start off the whole money making thing, and none of my packs have the same amount of uses in em anyways so breaking em up in count doesn't really mean a whole lot. but I've been charging 4k for the entertainer buffs, but I buff all the stats for action as well unless they specifically request me not to. But looking here looks like I'm being a bit pricey with 4k but I haven't heard any complaints <shrugs>

I am a Master Doctor and Master Musician. So let me tell you now that the flourishes are what givesthe musician/dancer experience, not the healing exp. We can just stand there playing without flourishing to get the healing experience.

It is for the flourishing that we need the quickness buffs for.

99.99% of all entertainers that will ask you for quickness buffs only, are leveling their respective professions. Not out buffing people for cash. Entertainers do not make any money until they master the profession (Even then, it is very minimal), because no one usually tips entertainers anymore. I was tipped a total of 5 times while I leveled to Master Musician, and I was at the keyboard almost all the time. I am a male mon calamari, so this could be part of the reason for that.. Lol.

Non of this is your fault though, and you should not feel obligated to them in any way. I just thought I would try to give you a little insight into the entertainers plight as one of the poorest professions in the game. As we are one of the richest...

Personaly I GIVE the quickness buffs to the entertainers that may ask me, but I am an entertainer too, so I feel a kinship to them just like I feel to you Doctors.

IMHO 1k is a fair price to charge for any single stat buff, unless it is an uber buff, then 2k is fair. Any more than this is just being greedy in my book. But who am I to say?
