It can be a real drain to be hassled by l33t d00ds who are sure that you should be grateful for the chance to buff/rez them, but the beauty of the system is: You don't work for them.

You work for you.

-No, I'm not buffing/rezzing at the moment, I'm busy with something else.

-Sorry man, I don't have any buff packs/rez kits/resources on me.

-Sure, I'll buff/rez you. That will be *insert insane price here*. Up front. No refunds. Before I make the trip or use up my droid's battery. Hey, if they pay you a ridiculous amount of money it ain't so bad.

-I don't owe you my services on demand at a price you determine any more than you owe me 1K 900+ OQ avian meat (or rare resource on your server here) on demand for a price I determine. (How's 1cpu sound?)

-/ignore For anyone who will not accept that you are not a buff vending machine. Trust me, if someone starts abusing you because you cannot/will not buff them, you're not going to miss anything he or she has to say.

The reality of this approach is that the uber combat, pre-pubescent (in mindset, no offense to the youngins) whiners/abusers will take their business elsewhere. What a pity. You can still make sweet cash, just by turning your Doc tag on anywhere near a starport, by dealing with only the civilized people who approach you.

The majority of the people who play this game are actually not that bad, don't let the ones who are rotten ruin your fun.

StraighouttaTExas I can relate with that. But the fix is simple. If I am sitting around Dath or wherever with my Master Doctor tag on and get invited into the group I make it plain and simple. I will buff the group for my regular rate and in addition I will require a payment in advance for my services during the hunt. I explain Im not out to buy/make my meds just to use on everyone in the game b/c Im a nice guy... They pay or go without me, I couldnt care less to be honest..

"HEY EMAVI CURE MY DISEASE/POISON" yells player so and so..Well (call me militant) but I will not respond to that request. If they add a please or maybe a "could you" I would respond. Even if I respond I will charge them 500 credits to heal disease or poison. If they whine and complain (as if I owe it to them or something) I just say "have a nice day sir" and go about my business..Usually they realize they need my service and come back, apologize and tip me..It is rather amusing to me to watch someone run around a base yelling for a doc to cure their disease and they be completely ignored lol...

In my eyes we worked pretty hard to master doctor. We go thru alot of trouble/expense gathering supplies to make quality meds or flat out buy them from someone else. We use our credits to travel to the advanced planets..my time, my resources.. If someone actually wants me to travel to them to rez..forget it, unless they are willing to pay me 1 credit per meter I travel..off planet travel I simply wont do..

I have tons of repeat customers. I give the same respect that is shown me.

I just had another encounter last night on Dantooine wherea guy came up to be asking for buffs. I told him I wasn't buffing at the moment, and he say's "But your title is on". This guy just wouldn't let up about wanting buffs. His title said Master Gunfighter but he wasn't shooting anything at the moment. I guess I should try this on a Master Architect or Master DE by telling them to "Make me something".

dont worry you doctors are not alone. i run around with my master creature handler tag on because i am proud to be one of the few CH that isnt in it for holos. anyways i am sitting in front of coronet starport on top of my dewback trying to sell a pair of baby rancor and get a tell from a guy asking if i would name his pet for him.

so i say sure naming is 5k. he says whhhhatttt??? i say 5k for my time to name that creature i did not sell to you. he finally says ok. and he transfers the animal over i store all my pets pull his out and its a spat. i ask him what name he wants. he says kokskr... i tell him i will not name his pet an offensive name or even a phonetically offensive name and he starts yelling. he then tips me 5k in payment. i ask him to pick another name. he spews off another filthy name. so i transfer his animal and money back and tell him to find another CH to do it.

his tells get so bad i eventually add the third name to my ignore list. been playing since release and i only have 3 on ignore... thats how bad he was.

its just unfortunate that there are people that cannot act in a civilized manner. but you docs are not alone in how your treated by loons.
