I have to agree, we are getting few and far between. Myself, I carry crates of all buffpacks, poison, disease cures, Stim Esand now a crate of fire blankets. One crate ofadvanced subcomponents as well asone of normal CRDMs. Also carry a stack of my best organic and inorganic to make woundpacks and statecures for when I do run out of them. I also cureanyone and everyonethat I seediseased or poisoned unless they havegiven me a reason not to in the past.

im a realitivly full service DR. I carry (all in crates of 50 cept buffs, those are usally crates of 5 or 10) Stim E's, all 6 Buffs, cure poison and cure deases, rez kits, fireblankets, and cure dizzy. I dont worry about the other state packs really dont have th room and they arnt that helpful in most cases they would just burn away myvaluable mind pool to much in a fight to try to cure every type of state applied to someone.

I however do tell people im out of stuff alot, mainliy because i dont feel like curing them or whatnot at the time, I dont want to waste my resources on ppl who i dont know.

I remember you Ekatha when I was but a mere novice doc working my way up to master doc. You were very helpful...and I always sort of respected you for it.But I have to say I disagree with your opinion on this.

Full service docs take that exp away.

(1) Despite the tumble monkeys, there are still docs who need experience and who want to do wound cures and such.If one doc is a master selling buffs with a long line of people waiting for that service, why shouldn't they send other players to the med clinic for treatment by less experienced docs? Part of the reason for the tumble monkeys was that patients were too few for docs to level quickly.

Specialization is good for everyone.

(2) Besides saving woudns for those needing experience, I think many people do buff b/c of greed, but not necessarily their own. You see, demanding things for free is a form of greed too and for the most part people don't like paying for cures or heals, the way they do for buffs. So a doc who takes patients willing to pay for the doc's time is avoiding greedy patients. The easiest way to do that, is to sell buffs and buffs only, This specialization helps not only the doc, but those waiting to get buffed...keeps things moving fast.

Doing it all takes lots of time.

(3) Even docs who have tons of cash, time is still limited. Crafting meds takes time...and if you keep using up your supplies...well..you have to do more crafting. For me personally, the crafting is the part of doc I enjoy least, so I like to do that as little as i can. So I try to do huge runs of goods, sell some off, and keep the rest to use for those on my patient list. But I wouldn't blame someone for focussing exclusively on one area to do in bulk... You need special ingredients for poison and disease cures...not everyone is able to source all that. Shockingly, there are people who are not in guilds, do not have more than one account and do not play for months to be able to have all the resources needed.

Who needs a full service doc if you can fix your own bandaids?

(4) Nothing is life or death in SWG..its life or clone. People in "need" is relative..I need food, armor, shelter, weapons..but I don't expect anyone to hand that for free...the game has an economy and meds and med services are part of it. Even in life, we pay for health care--through insurance or directly or taxes, but it costs money...So in the game, I see nothing wrong with docs who charge for their services. Free medical care leads to reckless behavior--its why insurance companies created HMO's, co pays and the like...in the game, far too many people drop novice med, or dont' use it effectivley. (buying good meds for self use).

All of that said, I dooccasionally heal strangers..but I dont' do it all the time.If I I wanted to do public service, well..I'd prefer to do it in the real world where it actually matters. Bottom line: It's a game I play to have fun...and while I do try to play in a way that makes it fun for others too, I have my limits.

So if your point is about kindess....well, you're being very ukind in calling other docs greedy, immoral and lazy just b/c they dont' want to be full service doctors. I know I don't, at least, not for everyone in the galaxy.
