Thread: Ok, the new formula, ROUGHLY, to the new buffs on TC

Example:

Base buff pack stat: 900

Med droid 110 rating

50 bonus to wound treatment with Be clothing

It goes

900*1.1*1.25*2=2475

You will ALWAYS get that if you use this same buff pack, with your clothes on and your droid out and nearby, on a person with near 0 BF...

With a 90 BE buff and a 900 base pack (i've seen people with 90 BE buff):

900*1.1*1.45*2=2871

Enjoy

I thought stat bonuses were maxed at +25??? SO even if you have +90 in BE clothing it still was only +25 am i wrong did they change this??

Dev statements are that BE and Skill Enhancement modifiers max out at +25 (the food mods are supposed to not be inhibited by that cap.) That's one of the things I think most of us would like to test out for certain now that we have a place where no variability makes it possible to easily and directly test this.

My tests on my packs on TC:

853 base enhance, 883 Action enhance

2111 to all stats, 2185 to action

Have player hospital, 110% med droid, +25 BE clothes (actualy +30 but the cap is there).

I like this change, nice to know exactly what you will get for a buff.

That seems low now... a 300 difference in power in the packs would give less than 800 more on buffs? That's pretty sad.

I didn't know about the hard cap, my bad. The formula still works though.

So basically, no more "UBER" buffs over 3K, but you get solid 2.2-2.5K buffs with good packs and clothing/food...

It's a tradeoff, it also means never ever buff for under 1500 though

But you forget that we can override buffs, so 1500 would be a thing of the past as well (if you have the money or resources). These results just depress me more, I'm gonna have to use up all my good kits before the next patch. gotta get all the 3500-4k enhances I can out of my super janta kits before this nerf

So basically the buffs are not going to be random anymore, correct?

My packs at the moment are 862 power, I have 110 droid & +25 BE clothing. So all my buffs would be a constant 2370 to all stats.

Its nice being able to hit a 3200, but would be great to lose the 1000 rolls I do as well.

I love the change personally, but a difference of 900 on buffs for 300 power is laughable. I don't think it's worth the trouble to make great packs anymore if you can get only 200 less on your buffs with average ones.

ok as i understand it, with max be clothes it would be:

1 + ( [ 25 / 2 ] / 100 ) = 1.125

since be clothes add to the max value giving you wound treatment 100/125, what happens when you eat food? then it becomes (with +20 bivoli) 120/125. so far all i've seen people talk about is the "Skill bonuses" to maximum; how does a minimum increase fit into this equation?

I have no idea, i'm gonna ask a chef to make me some bivoli if possible and i'll run tests. Maybe it stacks and is divided by 2, maybe it isn't...

And precision about my 535 packs, yes, i'm on TC, bad resources, but good avian spawned on naboo with this shift, i got a couple of packs over 700 yesterday... It's still not the best but it's good...

And yea, not being able to do high buffs anymore is bad, but it's the tradeoff for being able to constantly buff at a "medium" level... Personally i'm happy with how it's being balanced out! S'all good!

I like this change I will be so happy to not have some buffs hitting for 3k+ and others popping at 1k hehe. I hope tho that this is the lowest they go.. seeing as we now have nerf calls being spewn about us on the GCW forums.
