I thought BE clothing is capped at 25 wound treatment?

Yeah, you should see the nasty Dantooine VIAN I ahve on TC.. 193 OQ 385 PE. The D packs come out at B level lol (except action wich uses generic materials).

I have no med use on the blanket yet..

Still no synth cloth.

It is is higher level item though

Skill is in a III box (speed line), and Schematic is in crafting IV. I'd expect the med use to be a III of IV box as well.

If BE clothing caps at 25, that means base * 2 * 1.1 (droid) * 1.125= base * 2 * 1.2375

Um, where does the 1.125 come from and the 2 =) Just drop the two, and add it up this way

(BuffValue + (BuffValue) * (WoundTreatment/100)) * (DroidRating/100)..

or

BuffValue * (1 + (WoundTreatment/100)) * (DroidRating/100) for a simplified equation.

This formula matches exactly the values listed in your other post.

From your other post =)

Imperio59 wrote:

Base buff pack 535, enhance with a 110 med droid and 114 boosted wound treatment:

1259

Base buff pack 535 in hospital without a droid and without BE clothing (100/100):

1070, that's the base * 2

Those values match my formula exact

BuffValue * (1 + (WoundTreatment/100)) * (DroidRating/100)

535 + (1 + (114/100)) * (110/100) = 1259.39 and in teh med center

535 +(1 + (100/100)) * (100/100) = 1070

And From LeafTheMedic

My tests on my packs on TC:

853 base enhance, 883 Action enhance

2111 to all stats, 2185 to action

Have player hospital, 110% med droid, +25 BE clothes (actualy +30 but the cap is there).

I like this change, nice to know exactly what you will get for a buff.

Took Alot

853 +(1 + (125/100)) * (110/100) =2111.175 For his normals

883+(1 + (125/100)) * (110/100) =2185.425 For his action

So I'm thinking my formula has nailed it =)

so now the best buffs will be in the mid 2200's, with mediocre packs being 2000-2200?

yeah, I've switched over to naboo meat, but I'm not a TC regular... so I don't get to stockpile. I try to keep enough to test any changes that show up (plus factory crates of parts)... but I tend to use whatever quality I can get my hands on, rather then searching for the best stuff. I already spend too much time doing that on live for my docs .

Ix, yeah that formula is clearer. I keep trying not to make the droid a separate step... since 110 rated droid is just +10 wound treatment.

I like the idea of a set formula for calculating the buffs. However, I would like to see the base modifier bumped up just a little bit from a flat number of 2 to maybe 2 at novice scaled up to 2.5 at master. With this new calculation method, it would take a base pack rated 1212 to reach a buff of 3000 with 110 droid, MD, and +25 BE clothes. Even with Bivoli it would take a pack rated 1105 to break 3k.

I don't understand your math.

Current wound tratment is at 1x at novice and 2x at master. 2 at novice makes novice at where master is now. Hardly a small change... especially considering you can't buff at all until you get wound treatment 2 (so you can't actually buff at novice anyway.

Pert of the reason for this change is that upper buffs were too powerful. 3k was removed on purpose, not on accident. With the combat balance coming through in steps, a lot of the ultra-high end stuff needed to come down a bit.

I didn't know this was happening in this patch.. It had been discussed (even voted on in the past). While I happen to agree with it on a personal level, I'm gonna be grumpy at TH for letting it come out of left field like it did (even better, in the middle of while he was away).

I doubt we'll see buffs go up. We got food ( up to a full 1/4 of the pack base added) to help us.. and it stacks.

2k is very doable for master docs, even without the greatest of materials. That is roughly equv./ better to entertainer max (2200 if you have 1100 mind). It is still far better then chef or smuggler buffs.

Aside from buffs, give us the lowdown on these new fire blankets

Do they have charges, or are they a one time use?

Does experimentation affect anything, and if yes, how so?

Is there an animation?

What's the medicine use?

This new dependency seems very abrupt, that I am trying my best to become comfortable with, but I still think it was laid on quite quickly, we now have a few weeks until it goes live to prepare.

I can't get my hands on crated synth cloth... driving me nuts lol. I have an order in, and should be able to make a bunch of tem before wed... I also have to get rori fungus... but that's not a big deal (unless it isn't spawned or something).

I like that idea Vinaddar. It would be a nice bonus for Master Doctors.

So basically the forumla for buffs is the average buff. That's not so bad but I wish it could have been slightly higher. Overall buffs are going to go down so this may not be considered a good thing.

With an 800 pack I won't break 2000 whereas now I routinely break 2K all the time.

Actually is is the buff formula we always had. There was 1 more step afterwards (the random % calculation). That is what was removed. They didn't change any of the math at all.
