are doctors who buff struggling to make money?
I'm not struggling to make money. I'm struggling to keep money. Factory costs, harvester costs, travel costs, and meat costs gives me a pretty high payout at times. Plus add on the cost of Vasarian Brandy and Bivoli Tempori. However, I'm also not a constant buff-o-matic like some other doctors are. I know I can just head out to Dantooine and sell buffs for 10K a set and make 100K in 30 minutes, but I don't like just sitting around while others have the fun. I also don't charge my friends for buffs or heals.

Next time I log on I will try the 1 credit per point increased. Of course my guildies will still get the 6k rate. This will make us a lot more money. Yeah, I'm greedy

Just curious though, why is a non master doc asking us to increase our prices? I mean, I'm all about making more money, but most people complain that 6k is even to much to ask.

6k isn't asking too much, it is asking too little. If you cannot afford 6k for a 3.5 hour buff then you should reconsider gaming as a hobby, at least in SWG.
I buy my own buffpacks as well. I could make a profit, albeit a small one, at 6k per set. However, I prefer to maximize profit, especially when it is at the expense of something I do not like doing in the first place.
I'm setting up my own factories and whatnot here shortly, so that should keep me from raising my costs per buff too much more.
Once Publish7 comes out and I can guarantee my buffs, I will be charging 12k a set, period.

Charge more? I guess, if you think we don't charge enough simply give us extra. It's pretty common for me to get a tip, especially if I ht a few really good buffs.
Charging 8 -10k, in Coronet, I'm never ever broke. If I'm low on cash.. (below 300K)... I buff for an hour or two.. do that every week. I'm set.Just a couple of buffs pays for all my maint, and I can get those from random tells just walking into the city. As for meat and other resource costs, well I can't say I generally craft my own packs. I used to, and I made good money, but it is just too time consuming. It seems easier to do one or the other. Run a business cafting or run a business buffing. Since both take a good amount of time. Doing both meansI have to spend the time to make my product and spend the time to sell my product. The buff approach eliminates the making time and the craft angle eliminates the selling them (using vendors of course)

It sounds like your in this strictly for the cash, not for the enjoyment of playing a game.

Once the "standardzed" buff comes out 1c per point will be ok since then I know what my buffs will be. I do charge upfront, check bank balance of banks tips. Not that I don't trust people, I am running a business and when was that last time you got something first and then paid for it?
Currentlly charge 8k for buffs.

Just made a new factory run of buffs w/ a Base of 942......
Did a test run with some of my guild friends, and my average using the 1c per point was 14833 a buff.
When the new "static" buffs come out in the next patch, I don't think that will change much. I think I will still use the 1:1 system, even if all the buffs are the same. So far, its a GREAT way to sell buffs. I've had nothing but positive feedback from people about it. So I'm really glad that I tried it out after someone posted the suggestion. As the person said (can't remember his name.
) doing the 1:1 promotes pride in your crafting ability.....it makes you WANT to craft better packs. Heck for the first time in MONTHS I'm actually using my MD Tag.
Soooo glad I gave this a chance, and I'm so glad the people on Gorath are giving such positive feedback about it.

I don't like buffing, so I tend to charge quite a bit for my time to do it. At first it was 15k a set. I thought to myself, well, at 15k a set, most people will say no and I won't have to worry about them. However, if they do happen to say yes then it was worth my time to stop and buff them. Know what happened? 50% of the people said yes. I would be in front of Coronet with a line 10 people long buffing for 15k.
I charge 15k-20k when I'm not in the mood to buff. When I am in the mood to buff, and it is very rare, I charge 10k-12k a set. Occassionally if I'm in a good mood I will go down to 8k, but that is my absolute lowest, guildmates excepted.

Dunno about you, but I have alot more fun being rich than I did when I was poor.

Well, I might go to the 1c per point of buff. I've thought of doing that, but most people just want a flat price upfront, I think. Anyhow, I've been charging about 8k creds for a set of buffs. . . but then my buffs only have a base enhance-factor of 733, I don't use Bivoli (yet), or use Bio-Engie clothes (yet), so I figure I shouldn't charge as much as a Doc giving the best type of buffs.
I'm currently trying to amass better resources, so that I can make enhance paks with a base enhance factor of 800+, and I will try to get some bio-engie clothes. Then I'll up my prices.

I don't like one aspect of being a doctor, which is the buffing.
No I'm not in this strictly for the cash. I have more than I need from selling resources at or below market value.

I dunno man, I like buffing, but I definantly am starting to see that Buffs are like a drug. I'm seeing more and more people Max out there Mind stats, and depending on buffs for the rest. Which I guess is smart, but wow.....kinda takes the fun out.
I remember when I was a Master TK, I never used buff, and let me tell you, that was by far the most fun I had ever had with a combat class. My other account is a Master BH, and yeah......that was NOT what I was expecting. maybe because the Devs Nerfed the hell out of BH's but I dunno, I'm just not having much fun as a BH as I had hoped. Maybe its just me though.
But yeah, I don't like being a buff bot either, but it pay's the bills.
