Thread: have you ever gotten one of these guys...
me: yes price is 8k, ill get you after i finish soandso (cant remember his name)
him: how about 8k and 1500 off if any go below 1200?
me: no the price is 8k, i have no control beyond my 110 med use bot, +25 injury treatment clothing, and 900+ buffpacks.
him: ok how about 4k before and 4k after?
me: no the price is 8k, if you dont want buffs, dont pay.
so he grumbles and tips me 8k, i buff him..
buffs are all 2900-3400 (no joke, actualy landed some nice ones on this guy) and one buff
was 1297.
me: see now that wasnt so bad was it?
him: theyre ok, not worth 8k though
the next guy in line laughed and said "everyones a critic"
Good to hear you stuck to your guns. You state your price, and you stay with it. I have people trying to bargain with me, but my price is my price. No exotic pricing methods, just pay (in advance, unless you are a repeat customer) and we will get started.
Then the guy has the nerve to say the buffs weren't worth 8k... "They're OK" Feh.
A lot of players don't know how buffing works... and don't realize there are even different levels of buffs.

It's funny how we're conditioned to expect those people, and having to respond to them all the time...
For example, last night I was buffing and got the usual "Are you bufffing?", and replied with my standard 8k price. His response took a few moments, and I got the expected "Oh my!" With fingers at the keyboard, ready to type out the usual long-winded response of how we have no control, random rolls, yaddah yaddah... He floors me with, "That's so much lower than everyone else is charging!" I was shell-shocked! I couldn't type "ROFL" fast enough, and explain to him why his response was so refreshing. ![]()
That's why I lay it all out before I do anything.
Supplicant: Can u buff plz
Me: /m bufftell, which runs...
/r My buffs are 10K for a full set, which must be paid up front. For each stat that buffs below 1K, I will /tip back 1K on the spot.
It explains how much they are, what they get, and even compensation for a bad buff. If they're at the very least civil, I usually tip back even if the buff is around 1095 or 1150.
I'd say that 98% of the people who ask for buffs accept my price.
When i get those tells I have a marco set up stating that my buffs are 7k and for each hit under a 1000, i will tip you back 1000 credit for each one.
Then the second macro states that the buffs lasts 3+ hrs.
I really havent had too many problems with complaints about the price.
I do give out 2k discounts to declared imperals and to a certian guild, that tipped my on a consistant basis during my climb to master doc.
I have persons wanting me to kill then rez though to get rid of a old buff. I just tell them that I will rez them but will have someone slay them.
Oooh a tell/buff/response macro. How do you do it ? I'm new to the whole macro thing (I can do macros in MS Excel though
) I'm sure if I looked around, asked someone or even read the manual it'd tell me, but I've already typed this much and can't be bothered to delete, I'm sure one of you kind young fellas can help me out, cheers.

Make a macro under (Ctrl A I think). Name it buffresponse or something. Pick an icon.
In the body of the macro write:
/r Buffs are 10k. They last over 3 hours. They range from 925-3533. Average around 2.4k. I have no control over the range of buffing power.
Then save it. Then add the macro icon to your hot buttons by dragging the icon from the abitlities menu to the tool bar.
