Today was completely ruined for me thanks to the buff bug.

Now before anyone says this is "old news", no it isn't... it appears to have gotten a lot worse than before.

Before, if I logged out while buffs, all I had to do was wait until the time when the buffs would have worn off then I'm back in business. Yes it's annoying and can waste up to a couple of hours, but at least you could still work around it.

Today, I logged off while buffed around 4:30 PM EST. I checked the buff timer and there was about 1h 48m left on a buff. That's about right because that buff had a huge lifetime.

Well, I log back in at 9:30 PM EST, buff all my attributes, get to the health buff and it refuses to buff me because I supposedly already have buffs applied to that attribute.

I logged off at 9:50 PM EST then logged back on a few hours later at 12:20 AM EST. Guess what... still bugged.

I don't know what's going on here, but it appears that the devs made some change so once I get buff bugged, it appears that I'm stuck being buff bugged until the next server reboot.

This is *bad business* and completely a game breaking issue. This has ruined the day for me as I haven't been able to play at my peek free time because of this.

It's bad enough that the devs have gone for months and months and months ignoring the buff bug issue, but it's ridiculous that now it appears to be worse than it was before.

This merits a hot fix.

There are few issues of more impact that this. This should be a #1 priority issue. I can't believe that it's gone on for so many months without a word from the devs.

I wrote a lovely post about this about 1 month ago. Sadly no attention was brought to the bugged stat issue..,,Anyways have someone kill you and it'll fix it.

yes it's bad but here's a time saving solution. Have someone duel then Death Blow you. You may get wounded but you can re-buff and go about your business

I never had this happen to me until today with my jedi

I didn't use /logout.. i just disconnected..

Could not get rebuffed all night.. its been about 10 hours, and still nothing

Staying logged in for 3-4 hours doesn't make it go away, so im guessing i have to wait until the server reboot

great job devs.. really great

Unfortunately, I can't do the /deathblow fix because the character that got buff bugged is a Jedi.

Its a known issue, and from what I'm hearing it's beening taken care of....but then again who knows what SOE is doing.....hmph

I had a fun solution to getting rid of sticking buffs. I logged for a bit and when I came back on buffs dropped. Buffing brought up the system message stating the attribute is already enhanced. GRRRRR.

I have no room in my homes, inventory, or bank to store my bio-enhanced doc and combat clothing, nor my 1 million credit uber armor. So, having some one kill me in a duel was not a happy idea (no docs around for a rez), although I could rebuff after that.

With the new PvP system you don't get decay on anything if you are killed by the opposing faction. So, I go to my friendly recruiter and declare with crappy stats (every thing has been migrated to mind) and go to a hostile town and insult as many unfriendlies untill one gets angry enough to declare and waste me.

Happy, happy me. Lost some faction, but, no decay and I could buff again. Would not want to make a habit of this, but it was fun.

FIX THIS SOE!!!!!!!!!!

And then my ticket was updated.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I have just experienced it for myself. I have already lost hours of gameplay thanks to publish 6. Now I can't buff myself to go enjoy myself.

I am questioning myself as to why I don't cancel.

i posted another thread without reading the included....

It appears as though it's happening to alot of jedi...is it jedi specific? anyone getting it today that's not? not that it matters, but it seems strange...

none of my buffs work...including those that are under 10000 on the timer...my health buff only lasts an hour and a half as i just threw some low DR avain in in a pinch...

I guess i'll go make some armor with my main...
