Dont know if this has already been said and frankly im lazy lol

But every Doc hates it when they are buffing hitting 1.5-3k and then boom 800!

you feel oblidged to give back money and apologise all the time for such naff buffs, well how about finding a price your happy with lets say 6k as a base figure, when poeple ask:

"can you buff me and what price do you charge?"

simply say in return:

"I charge 6k for buffs you pay no more for awesome results and no less for bad one's, we cant control it so its your choice"

Why feel guilty about something thats not in our power to control.

Varies from server to server. I hit an average of 2.5k per stat. I charge 7k a set. If any buff is under 1200, I refund 1k.

On most servers, and even in mine, people charge 10k for the same service, for lower buffs. But I'm providing a service, and believe me, the fact that my prices are generally lower than most means that people end up paying me 4-5k tips anyway.

I found a pretty good system that I just started charging recently is 1cr per total unit buffed. Granted I have to sit there with a calculator next to my keyboard, but in this aspect if you get a set of junk buffs, you get paid a small amount - an incredible set, you can get around 11-12k.

It's the 'get-what-you-pay-for' methodology.

i think u missed the part where i said
"And frankly im lazy" lol

ive stopped doing buffs for the moment, for some reason since the patch im rarely getting anything over 1.2k with 900 packs, they used to give me around 1.8k - 3k

not sure whats going on now

i agree with the 1cr per increment plan, i think ill start using it. it only seems fair to me if i buff amazingly higher than norm, or really low. even low buffs are helpful ... just not that much

whenever i buff, i charge a minimum of 10k (more on advanced planets). I don't discount for a bad buff. Alot of people think that a bad buff is the fault of the doctor, especially wheneveryone isrefunding their money. In fact, you realy have little control over the outcome. I've hitin the900-3300 range from the same quality packs.

It may be a bit greedy, but it's not my fault if you get a bad one. It's just poor luck. I usually explain that there is a huge variation on the buff quality and most people accept it and move on.

What about charging for the total points you buff a person.

1/2credit per point buffed.? 2000 avgper hit x 6 = 12000 / 2 = 6000credits

So if you get 3000 on health then 800 strength thats 1900 avg.

im sure someone with more experience could plug in more accurate numbers.

My formula is based on the guys statement of hey you get awesome results and we dont charege MORE, so when you get crappy results why should we charge LESS.

Maybe make the statement to the player " (whatever)K per set! 2000 point increaseaverage, no extra charge for better results, no refunds for worse!"

Or something like that.

I was asking 6k a set. Now I let them pay what they think the buff is worth. My average tip has gone up to close to 10k. I got a 60k the other night.

The few times I charge for buffs, i go by the 1 credit per point buffed.

That usually comes out to around 10k for a full set.

I use a sliding scale and got the idea from this forum a few weeks ago. All of my pricing is listed in my bio so i don't have to constantly type out my prices and it custs down on negotiation.

I charge 10k up front and explain that buffs are totally random. If 2 or more buffs are less than 1500, the price drops to 8k. If 2 or more buffs are less than 1000, the price drops to 6k. If one buff is less than 1500 and one is less than 1000, I charge 7k. So in the end the customer will pay either 6k, 7k, 8k or 10k. Once I'm done buffing, I refund the difference. Seems to work out well for me. The only trouble I have is people tipping me prematurely. I need to get that written into my bio but there is apparently a character limit to the bio.

I've also buffed someone in exchange for their buff packs. They offered to let me keep their enhancement packs if I would buff them with it, and I did since it wasn't really costing me anything except my time (which was plentiful), my mind pool (which regens pretty quick) and my droid's battery (of which I have about 600 ) plus I get the bonus of being able to use these packs further down the road to make more $$.
