I'm tired of people complaining about me buffing them for under 1200 and want their money back.... I still had to go out there and harvest the materials and make the packs, just because i buffed under 1200 doesnt mean i'm gonna get my enhance pack back from you...I got the best resources, the best droid (2-1B surgical droid), with 171 BE clothing (yes it says 171 in my skill mods). Some people i'll buff all above 2500 and some people wont see above 2500.

I was hoping someone from SOE would post the formula in which buffs are picked. Also were they ment to be that random? or is that another thing to add to the big book of SWG bugs?

I charge 10k and dont refund if they start to cry i tell them ok what me to charge 1 credit by buff lolll then they realize they are wrong cuz let says 6 stats for at least 2k each goes up to 12k so all doc please wake up charge 10k think about how much missions they will be able to do with you buff and how much cash they will be doing with those missions!!! Lets all Charge 10k and no garanty!!!! It dosent make any sence to garanty something we cant control if a slicer gets a bad slice you stuck with its for the rest of the time you will be using your gun! And they dont refund lolll im really going to start charging 1 by buff pts lolll this is about to make me go crazy!

the ONLY time I tip back is if I feel it as a bad set of buffs....then I tip 10% or 1k back to them. Other then that I tell them to F off. So yeah I guess I'm behind you to.

I'm behind you, I got so tired of it I stopped buffing anyone. Even with a guy standing next to me begging I tell him no. Don't get me wrong, I need the money, but I don't need the whining.

Besides I hate going out and collecting all the resources to get this stuff.

Back when I hit MD, the norm on Bria for a full set of D's was 5K. Since I had no intention of charging anything less than 10K, I instituted a policy of tipping back for a bad buff to soften the financial blow a little bit. It's mostly a gesture of good will, and it's appreciated by most. I suppose I could do away with it now that the standard buff price has gone up, but I don't feel like changing my macro.

I do agree with your logic, though.

Sigh i get this this all the time. So i made a disclaimer and it works well. Basically i say what my bases are what i wear what my droid is and what my high/low is then i state my price and mention its not nagiotable and if they tip they give up all right to whine or complain. So far(been using for 2 weeks) its worked out well. Also mention buffs are random. Before every buff i will spam this message then ask them if they understand and if they do they tip..Works perfect you should try it.

Very simple, break out of the mentality of charging a flat fee for buffs. Charge X amount per point ehanced. Like 1 cred per point, or 1/2 cred (3k buff is 1500 creds etc). This way they pay for what they get, and they know you want to get high numbers cause you get paid more. It gives the customers confidence when you work on comission

Peopel are starting to demand tip backs now...

Hell, Be clear up front... all I can say.

I still debate, all buffs are good buffs (better then their natural HAM) I usually do 1 cr per pt. when I do buff non-friends. A sliding scale like this promotes paying for A-C buffs, leveling docs deserve some money too.

I am sick of being asked in the middle of battle for me to buff someone then i start to buff them and they get pissed because it is only a 1200 stat..they yell at me to stop..and dont even friggin tip me. I am behind this as well. If they dont like the buffs they ask for, screw them.

I've only recently started starport buffing, due to the new chef foods..brandy being a buffing doctor's best friend.

I've written certain rules in my bio stating the obvious..no bf, armour on/off, will heal wounds if asked etc and I've also added 2 payment plans. Payment A is a straight up 10k no refunds and payment B is pay per point. Explained the quality of my packs and that buffs are random.

When each customer is in line they get a promt to read my bio while waiting and a further request when its their turn to either state which payment they want or tip 10k now. No one has chosen pay per point as yet and no one has asked for a refund either...I already gave them a choice before I started buffing so they really dont have an argument.

Its about time doctors stop appologising for bad rolls, its those doc's starting this trend of blame. Its about time customers understand I WANT them to get a high buff!
