*Medicines: Fixed a problem with the power of cure dot medicines not being displayed.
I'll check on this and edit details into this post when TC stops loading.
Poison C:
Flowers: OQ317 PE77
Inert: Gas Dr 685 OQ 194
ABEC: P 7 CH 13
LS: P 26
Final product:
Poison Cure pack C
Uses: 33
Effectiveness: 120 (17% experiemntation)
med use: 98
---------------------
Disease C:
Inert Gas DR 685 OQ 194
Greens DR 664 Flavor 670 PE 640 OQ 180
ABEC P7 CH13
LS P26
Final Product:
Disease Cure Pack C
Uses: 33
Effectiveness 64 (30% experimentation)
med use: 97
--------------------
This is using all master doc experimental points on effectiveness, with (as you can see) very poor materials.
Now I gotta find out what effectiveness is comparable to in the CM poisons.
I guess I'll have to let Texxie Poison me =/

That would be a fix for Gameplay Issue #20,Cure Pack Effectiveness Ratings.
And fits right in with a couple of other thread discussions recently going on about how cures stack up against posions. Good to see it go in.

I would hope that the effectiveness rating on the cures is comparble to the potency on the poisons/diseases. That would mean that a cure with effectiveness of 120 will cure a poison with 120 potency (or lower) in one shot. That would certainly make CMs have to decide even more between effectiveness and potency. That would make the harder to cure poisons and diseases tick for less damage, due to more experimentation points going into potency.

Maybe someone who has some crates of these on TC can give us a definitive answer, but my guess would be that the old ones won't show their rating.
The important thing about this change, though, is that all that is happening is that they are showing us what the rating is on these packs. They aren't adding a rating that wasn't there before. It was always there, they are just making it so that we can see what the number is now.

Man. . . I'ma new doc and I made a crate of poisons I didn't see an effectiveness listed so I thought it was a bug and didn't dump any points into it. . . sigh. .. oh well. Time to dump this crate and make a new one when the new patch comes out.

Well, like I said I'm not sure if it will show the rating on old packs or not (I suppose it could be possible), but that rating is definitely there, nonetheless. So if we can find for certain that the rating will show on old crates, then it might be worthwhile to jut go ahead and craft them now if you want, in fact they may come out slightly better if you make them now since the new crafting changes haven't gone in yet.

Well I don't need to know the rating. Just knowing that the rating makes a difference I'll probably just go ahead and craft and dump points into effectiveness anyway since I know it matters now.
DOH I just rememered. . . I'm out of flowers
Time to crank up the harverster. . .
