Thread: Buffing Customers Silly Questions

Just thought I'd make another thread pointing out the customers ignorance, then beg all of you to at least try and educate ONE customer a day...
In these examples im charging 10k a set on Dathomir and I'm being BEGGED for buffs.
One guy, "Dude, what about my mind!?" "You forgot to buff my mind..."
Next guy, "Are your buffs good?" I say, "Yeha, about 2200 average for the set"
My first hit on his health is for 1993, "Heh, nice buffs..." (I knew he was being sarcastic)
I say, "Dude whats the problem" He says, "I thought you said 2200" (meanwhile as I'm buffing him he is not paying attention to the fact that every following buff was like 2300 or 2400 (thus "averages"))
I say, "Yeha, dude, I said 2200 average" He says, "Yeha well the health was 1900" (I'm thinking, well it was 1993, don't steal my preciuos 93 points from the argument...)
I told him, "Do you know how to average, dude?" He says yeha...
(meanwhile I hit his action for 2700 and he doesnt say a word, apparently we are not here to receive compliments, only criticism)
I tell him that you will no longer be seeing the 3500+ buffs because of the recent patch (nerf), he says he was getting buffed by some female Docfor all 3k+ last week, I dont know if I believe him.
I asked him "Did you write her name down?" he said yeah, I told him to have her buff him then.
He said, "She's not on this planet right now..." I said, "EXACTLY"
He proceeds to leave...
I just tell myself "I just made 200k in about an hour...." and shuttle home to make more buff packs...
Please try to educate these clowns as to the recent buff changes. And coreect me if I was wrong in the above statements.

Isn't it amazing how everyone knows "another doctor" with the 3000+ buffs to every stat. I bet that doctor also charges much less than you do. Here's a question I got over the weekend. I was on Dantooine buffing for 10K a set, and had been there for about an hour. One guy that had been standing nearby for about 10 minutes send me a /tell.
Them: "Hey, can I get a free set of buffs pppppplllllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzz?"
Me: "Sorry, I charge 10K for a set, I don't give them away"
5 minutes later
Them: "Hey can I get in line for afree set of buffs?"
Me: "Sorry, I don't just give away buffs"
2 minutes later
Them "Can I get that free set of buffs now?"

BTW when you addignore someone...can they still send you emails?

And does anyone hit for 3k plus on buffs anymore?

Nope they can't. I tested this with a friend and they didn't recieve my emails when they had me on ignore.

sad, but this is why I do not like to buff strangers. I dont need the money and I dont like the hassle. and you cant just do it for 15 minutes and then quit because theres always someone else coming up who wants some.you can take the tag off but once someone knows your a doc or looks at your profile, game over man. I feel like a celebrity being hounded for autographs.... and my buffs arent that great, ~2000 for 3hrs.

Agree,
I feel sorry for the Master Smugglers who prob get mobbed when they are around, cause I hardly see any around...
maybe they just always hide their title

I guess I'm lucky I don't get all the tools some of you do. My most recent encounters at Fort Tusken went about like this:
guy: you buffing?
me: yeah, 10k, all buffs 2200+
guy: /tip 10k
Or:
guy: you buffing?
me: yeah, 10k, but I'm down to my reject packs that only hit for 1800+
guy: /tip 10k
Or:
guy: you buffing?
me: nope
guy: ok

Me...... Leave.
Some fools just don't get it. All he had to do was be nice.

I was getting ready to buff someone and they had some wounds so I was healing the wounds first. Most were 100 or so. After the 2nd or 3rd heal the guy says "you're buffs suck". I was laughing so hard I had a hard time typing to explain that I hadn't started yet.

so, this is what I should get used to hearing then I guess. I just started buffing, as I started the doctor prof not to long ago. 4-4-4-0 ... *sigh* time to grind the crafting *heavier sigh*
I do have one lil tidbit of fun though .....
I was at the outpost on Dantooine and had just got enough xp for my final block in wound treatment speed and the following occurs:
him: you buffing
me: sure, buffs average 1800 for 3.5 hours. 6k
him: 1800 sux
me: take it or leave it
him: how about 5k
me: good luck with your bargain hunting, I'm gonna go grind some crafting xp
him: /tip 6000
another thing that gets me (while we are ranting) why do people want/expect to pay less to have their pets buffed? ........ I don't get it

We do get mobbed. My alt is a master doctor on Bria, but my main is a master smuggler on Starsider. Both professions are victims of "tell hell."
I stopped slicing last month as a "strike" until we get some actual smuggler content (slicing is like crafting and is NOT content - sae as buffs are not all there is to being a doctor). It may last awhile too, as we just got nerfed in publish 7 /sigh. Sad when you only get one good pistol shot after 1.225M pistol XP (not counting the pistols IV requirement from marksman - that's extra) invested into the smuggler dirty fighting line...
