Hi there, I have a Character thats a Novice Bio-Engineer/Doctor and I have some questions:

1) I'm on the lookout to buy a Private Food & Chemical Crafting Station for my house and I got this Architect to build me one at it has a -5.34432 value on it??? is this bad???

2) Also, as a Doctor I need to get access to a "Factory" so I can manufacture idential Items. Is it called a Factory?? and who makes them??. Can I buy factory and place it in my house like the Food & Chem Station?

3) If I use the Factory to make loads of items, do I get the XP for it or not due to the machine doing the crafting and not me??

I know I can Use a droid as a Station but im not interested, I'm going to make a business out of Selling Stims, Enhancements and Bio Pets so I'm going to have the whoe setup at home hopefully

Any comments are appreciated.

1. that sound pretty poor to me, i cant remember the quality of my one off hand but im sure it is positive and in double figures

2. you need a factory to make most higher level meds as they require factory componants

3. you dont get XP for anything made in a factory.

personally, i used a macro to get doc crafting 4, then i started to worry about factories and the like

1) I think 46.xxxxxx is the highest I've seen. -5 does sound bad, but, hey, it'll get the job done if you're strapped for cash. It'll let you create the items that require a personal crafting station.

2) It is called a "Food Factory," but it makes med supplies, too.
2a) I always just search for Master Architects and ask them if they can build me one. The price on these is anywhere from 20-60k apiece.
2b) Factories are placed outside (they're big). When placing one, you'll get the same overhead view as if you were placing a harvestor/house.

3) I'm not sure if you get experience for a factory crafting all your items. I highly doubt it though.

If you're going to be making good stims/buff packs, I suggest you either have enough cash to buy herbivore meat or get hunting 1 to 4. It's easy finding all the other resources (that is, if you have surveying) to just slap a harvestor down on, but you have to invest a lot of time to get a lot of meat. Why do you think Nimh offers so much for it? He'd rather be doing something else.

I'm in your situation now (med store) and I have all the resources--good ones too--to make awesome stims except farkin' meat. Personally, I don't want to run around harvesting meat all day. So, I'm getting some combat skills to kill uber enemies to get awesome loot to sell for millions and THEN buy my meat.

Plus, I might loot an experiementation tape. Woo!

SOE's catering to the carebear players has done more damage to this game than Jedi and CMs ever could.

Hey guys,

I'm an aspiring Doctor myself and when looking at the crafting tier I get a headache. Can one of you maybe share your crafting macro?

I saw Chiefccw mentioned he had one.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't currently get xp for anything made in a factory, but whether this is a bug or intentional has not been revealed- you used to get 10% crafting xp for anything made in a factory (once upon a time...).

my crafting macro goes like this

/next;

/next;

/createprototye practiceNoItem;

/createprototye practiceNoItem;

/ui action toolbarSlot04;

/ui action toolbarSlotxx;

xx is the slot number of the spot below where this is placed and I have a copy of this for F6-F12 (7 crafting tools in shift+ F6-F12 spots). in the F5 slot ( /ui action toolbarSlot04 I have a macro that says

/sel xx;

this enable the convienience of changing between crafting tool type by changing the crafting tools in shift F6-F12 slots and you only need change 1 macro to change schematic # for all 7 tools;

I use F6-F12 because I have a ergonomic keyboard where F6-F12 are all in one row. I turn keyboard upsidedown and then hit F6 click resources hit F7 click resources hit F8click resources hit F9..... til F12 and loop back manually to F6 this allows me to control the speed I work and it pauses when I do

If you doubt this think I ground through master tailor and master droid engineer in a little over 72 hrs

Wow, that's confusing. Do you by any chance havea link to a guide where everything is explained in detail. I don't really know where to start after reading yours...

Or you could go and look at www.swgmedic.com and take a look at the crafting macro that is there.
