YES!!!

Finally Docs waking up and realizing their true worth. Even with randomness, an 850 pack is worth 10k. I never apologize for low buffs and always ask for 10k up front.

Even with docs asking 8K I still get biz and I'm happy to give it as my customers are to get it.

Maybe now we can unite and set a price. Lets talk about a fixed price between 12-15K for 800+ packs. I'll be using packs that are 877 base and have 3:40 duration. I think the resulting buff (2412) will be worth 15k. I'm using Bio-clothing and Bivoli.

As for players that can't afford these buffs, they can see a lower level Doc. Their missions won't require an uber buff. This will give all docs, regardless of level, a good chance at making money.

Let's stop giving our buffs away for cheap. Let's rally now!

I can't believe I got one starred on this. I really hope that it wasn't a doctor.

I'd love to read some feedback. This post is just being ignored and there is so much truth in it.

Just masterd doc myself and was going to charge a minimum of 12k myself so that sounds good to me

The sheer amount of players that want buff makes it easy for us to ask for 20k a buff if we wanted to. 12-15k per buff is not what I consider gready when you look at the amount of cash the player that has been buffed can make because of that buff.

Yes, I have no desire for greed. Ialso think this is a fair price range for buffs. Happy to have you on board Shaar.

With static buffs, charge should be 1c per point of increase. Therefore,6 --2000 point buffs = 12K.

A base price of 12k sounds fair enough to me given that you're going to be adding a good 2300/2400 to each of someone's stats, but you have to be flexible and consider the inflation of your server, plus the circumstances of the buffs.

I tend to only buff guildmates these days anyway, some toss me a few k for my trouble, some don't, it doesn't bother me overly, there are easier ways to make money than buffing.

Well I mastered Doc yesterday, so I don't really know anything about the old market - with randomness (except as a customer).

I was going to be charging 9k, but if people are charging more, I will too

Im not gonna do this because of the money, therefor I dont see any real reason to be cheap and to attract as much customers as possible. I will do this as a service to those who want and can afford to pay.

The idea of 1cr per unitenhanced sounds like a plan, might do that...

currently on eclipse there is a very nice naboo anvian meat. well it isnt very nice it is un believable nice. 971 oaq 994 pe and 770 dr. or so. something like that. kaadus is the easiest bird of all to harvest imo.

it is selling for 200cpu.

my gf and i went out we hunted kaadu for less than 3 hrs...well really we goofed around, stopped at several vendors and shopped, and hunted kaadu. we got a little over 3k of this stuff. if we had been hard core hunting easily would have gotten 5k maybee more.

so 600k to 1m creds worth of meat for a goof around to serious hunt for 3 hours.

buff pricing should somehow follow this trend. my time buffing, watching swgcraft.com for good stuff, placing and tending harvestors, making schematics loading and unloading factories.... is worth what.... same as a marksman/scout's time with a semi descent rifle hunting easy stuff on an easy planet?

so how much should docs be charging for buffs?

I have to chuckle, this would be considered a case of price fixing if I actually believed we could get an agreement of more than half a profession on a game like this. In all seriousness, it is very much going to depend on a number of factors. These include, and in no particular order of importance, server economy, cost of the goods used, location of buffing anduse ofadditatives (these mega packs I have head of or Brivoli).

It is a bit of a market economy out there, if someone can afford to do that long term for 8k, then find out how they do it and copy. If not, let them blow themselves up or find a location better suited to your pricing structure.

I am, however, a high charger. I use the Brivoli and 900+ pacs. If you want something else, go find the 850+ pac with no Brivoli. Pay less, get less. You are the cheepest link, goodbye.

Cheers,

We play in a free market. Price fixing will not work. If I want the business and I see someone announcing they are buffing for 1credit per point, I'm going to undercut them to get some of their business away from them.

There will always be the "buff for tips" group, too. It's good to have an idea of the standard rate, but I'll always be ready for some price wars in front of the Coronet Starport.

Sidenote: I'm so suprised that players are actually lining up for buffs when asked. There really might be some sense of order to this game.

I play by day. If there are several docs around I just take tips. Some night I get all 10k tips, some night all 6k tips. Seems the cheaper guys are on at late night lol.

If i seem to be giving crapp buffs i charge 6 or 7k. if I am giving awsume buffs I charge 8k and most of the time get 10k tips. I dont feel the need for price fixing, but I did like seeing a trend in buff prices going up. If i am the only doc on a planet I do charge 10k b ut this isnt very often.

I agree. All docs need to unite...at least the dedacated ones that is....and those of us selling buff packs need to think on resieing the prices to "encorage" our customers to charge a fair price for our buffs....No sence in feeding the compatition pacs cheap enough that they under cut a "fair" price once we all agree on one...
