Thread: Official fact finding My buffs are coming out too low thread (Jan 18, 2004)

Ok, between the PMs and the posts on the board, enough people that keep decent track of their buffs have come up with a serious lowering of the averages. It seems to affect the people that buff A LOT more then casual buffers.

I have seen reports of high and low buffs that are still at the ends of the range that they were before, however, it seems buffs are averaging lower overall (caps haven't moved, but the process seems to produce lower buffs more often then before)

Please follow this format and try to produce all the info if you can. Please Use Buff D packs only (Not that much of anyone uses A-C,, but they will mess up the numbers.

7.) Wound treatment rating with clothes (include ratings over +25 just in case).

1 Before the patch I use to get in the 2000-3000 range commonly before the last 2 weeks. It seems every week they get worse and worse. I can tell you the lowest I use to get with D buffs with fantastic quality was like 899, now I am down to about 600 on my lows and I am getting a LOT MORE LOWS with the best stuff you can get for resources

4 I use the best you can make to Make Enchance D Buffs. All Advanaced stuff and the best resources we have on the server of bria



5 I have a 110 Droid but it doesnt seem to matter med center or droid. Droids DO NOT give you an increase in buffs its a proven fact.. Its only for wound healing just like clothes are the same way. THEY DO NOT boost your buff ratings...



6 & 7 Havent noticed a major change in wound healing because I dont let my wounds get bad..



8 I am on the Bria server (one of the first Dr's ever on bria)

2.) Post-problem normal buff average. --- about 900-2000 average

3.) Date when you noticed that buffs got lower (the closer you can get on this the more helpful it is.)-- started noticeing my buffs got lower about a week ago.

4.) Normal Buff pack power level (range) and which adv components do you use. --- 840+ all advance components.

5.) Droid rating (If no droid, please type "med center 100") ----- 110 medical droid

6.) Wound treatment rating without clothes--- master rating of 100 with out clothing

7.) Wound treatment rating with clothes (include ratings over +25 just in case).--- 190 with clothing

8.) Server.-- eclipse

1- averaged 2-3k all buffs, max was 3458


2- ave 1-1.5k


3- within last 2 weeks, today (1/18) buffed action 385 with 844 med power, str. 285 same power med. Previously was doing the above numbers, I have never gone below the med power until today.

1) Pre problem buff average-2400 (Range 1050(lowest hit) 3600 (highest hit) )


2) post problem buff average-1500 (using same power buff packs and same conditions on everything else)


3)Date big change noticed... Approx 1 week ago


4)buff pack average power 894-911. Adv component power... AdvBEC-12 charges 23 power... AdvCRDM-64 power..... AdvSolid's-65 power.


5)Droid Rating 110 med use


6)Master Doc 100 Wound treatment


7) +25 wound treat ment shirt for total of 125 wound treatment

Correct me if im wrong here but later december something went into a patch saying it had done something to buffs, it said something like they work on the min base now not the max..im trying to remember but that was 4/5 weeks ago now and maybe not anything to do with it...soz interupting the thread and yes 2 weeks ago i notice my buffs dropping on Chimaera.

i fear this is stealth nerf by the dev team i myself noticed a change on buffs values... and i use 910 base buff paccks with full med clothes and i get more low end results then high end results..

2.) Post-problem normal buff average. (900-2.3k Usually camps on the lowside 900-1.5k)

3.) Date when you noticed that buffs got lower (the closer you can get on this the more helpful it is.) (Roughly 1 week ago)

4.) Normal Buff pack power level (range) and which adv components do you use. (Buff D Base = 914 all advanced)

5.) Droid rating (If no droid, please type "med center 100") (115 C3P0)

6.) Wound treatment rating without clothes (Master Doc 100)

7.) Wound treatment rating with clothes (include ratings over +25 just in case). (In my stats window it says 100/+173 /shrug)

1) 1700ish (low 1100, high 2600)


2) 1200-1400 (low 800, high 2600 -- with more towards the under 1200 range)

7) I use a hat and undershirt both with +15 Wound Treatment for +30 in total

* This is also the same time that Artisans started noticing and complaining about a huge increase in Critical Failures. Personally I see how this could be affected by a number of things added in the Player City patch.



  • Decay on Death: We have to insure our crafting tools, but can they actually decay? If so what affect would it have on the outcome of a sucessful craft?

  • City Specializations: Is it possible that the introduction of city Specialties (Manufacturing Centers, etc) could have somehow upset the 'normal' healing/crafting mods? ie: Pre-patch, droids were the highest heal mod at 110 and NPC Hospitals were 100, Post Patch (more importantly after the city specializations were added) is it possible that Player Hospitals were inteded to be 120 after City Specialization but accidently got added as 110 thereby making droids 100 and NPC Hospitals 90?

1) Low 1097, high 3401, average 2200 (right in the middle)


2) Low 1051, high ~3250, average down to 2000.


3) Recently. I'll say since the last patch.


4) 884 power for the secondaries, 893 health, 897 action. All advanced subcomponents. (I've been using this set of packs for two months or more...)

7) +30 clothes, 130 total

Now, I don't see as big a difference as most of the others here, but I'm quite sure my lowest possible buff has changed. I hit 1097 a good 10 or 12 times over the last couple of months, and just hit 1051 a few days ago. (Yes, I check for other droids, battle fatigue, etc.). Further, I haven't broken 3300 since this last patch. (of course, I hit myself for all 6 stats over 2.8k last night, so...)
