This has probably been adressed, but what about those who are grinding holos right now? I for one, would like to get another char, on the server...

I don'tknow if this has been asked, so I appologize if it has, but I'm curious. What of those few who have already unlocked their Force Sensative slot? This allows them 2 characters on the same server. Now what about the character that unlocked it? Will that charater too be able to become a Jedi, essentially giving a player 2 Jedi on the same server?

First and foremost, let's get our terminology straightened. These cats shouldn't evenhave any knowledge of what a padawan is. Time to go over the continuity thing again.

Each quest needs to be multi staged and begin with "force sensitive" npc that is in hiding from the empire. Each stage of the quest should point the player in the direction of the next stage without totally giving it away. For example, the force sensitive starts the player on his quest as such:It is said that a strange power exists in a cave in the x region of y planet. Seek out that power and you may find answers to some of your questions. (The cave should be instanced to prevent any player from being able to just tell someone else how or where to find his/her cave.) Upon completing the tasks (finding the cave and confronting the power in whatever form it is) there could be a debri pile that is looted for information that points to the next stage. When looted the player could recieve a message stating there are items in it that come from x forest of y planet. So on and so forth. It does not always have to be a location. It could be that they find an item inscribed with someone's name and another marker that indicates a city or something along those lines.

I would also like to suggest removing the rebel jedi/dark jedi npc as it currently stands. These npcs need to be considered force sensitives who have developed their skills without going too far. This will maintain the fact that there are no known jedi out there.

There could be multiple npcs (while maintaining just a few), and which one responds to the player could be randomized. Or you could have some trigger in the game (similar to the holos) that instance the npc for that particular player.

The imagination is the only limit, however these quests need to be complex and challenging withou being utterly impossible.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Any coments?

As far as I know crystals wereretrieved from a traditional cave in the Old republic times. But some people had exceptional colors. Mace Windu in example as well as the Kel Dor (forgot his name) who wassaid to have a yellow or orange saber. In the comics even more Jedi had other colors/colours besides green or blue and in some situationg of Luke skywalers era, I even saw jedi having a red saber although they were part of the Jedi Order.

The sabers of the Sith order use "synthetic" crystals. Produces rather then harvseted to make it flawless and so more effective.

If we compare episode 2 and episode 5 together we notice a difference in tones of blue colours meaning that this could also vary. If this is true then the crystals work with a RGB system and all sabercolours are technically available.

Carddreamer, no when you get the jedi character its a seperate character, and your main character can never become a jedi. So you can only ever have 1 jedi ona single server per account.

How about adding dagoba yoda's homeworld for theses jedi trials and quest well atleast it could be the starting point to diffrent

locations within its own planet as well as missions on dagoba, having final trials with yoda, this should not be something you can

grind, but it also should not be just for hard core gamers, still alot of content which lacks for the casual gamer.

In the interest of keeping numbers of jedi low i agree with the idea of making your main char (the one that unlocks) become the FS/Jedi char. The quests you do to become the jedi though should progressivly give you jedi abalities, while striping away your regular skills.

Example: After completing the first set of missions, you lose 30 skill points, but gain the abality to meditate (like the TKA skill). The next set of quests you lose 70 skill points, but gain a huge boost (+25) to all dodge/counterattack/block type skills. The third step should be to remove enough skill points so that you only have enough to master a novice profession. But at this level you should gain the abality to regen slowly (like 1/10 meditate speed) all your wounds, status effects, and damage. The final stage is you become a full fledged jedi initate. And you get your first lightsaber tool, and kit to make a saber from your trainer.

My 2 cents

They are planning to change this. So your main char will become your jedi.

I wonder how the jedi revamp will be implemented for non combat types, right now seems like much of game play is geared

towards the comabt proffessions, is it possible to implement the jedi system into non-comabt types?

janobi i see what you're saying but what is the point in being a jedi if you're not gonna be combat oriented what sort of non combat skills would a jedi even have? jedi's are trained in i guess you could say special fighting techniques since they really don't have much other use except moving things around for no reason at all.

just had a thought after reading smugglinzanes post at the top of page 55. a good idea for the start of the jedi quests would be say something along the lines of the way you get the scythe schematic, have an NPC give you a mission to do and have a treasure map or map as the reward for it but don't release the name of the NPC that gives the quest just give out like the planet he's on or where he is near, make the map non transferrable like the sith holocron from the dantooine quest and the map should lead to something like a force sensitive character npc that you do quests for in order to learn skills and gain xp and what not.
