Well... Developers hang tuff. You cant fix a broken car if all the parts have not come in yet including some of the repair tools. Anyway its a set back. Im not the least bit worried about it. I think you are headed in the right direction with quick fixes and continuing to add additonal content with the lead up to JTLS.
You cant please everyone and you never will. Everyone knows thats a given. Just stay true to your vision and push for 110%.Sure,absolutely..you are going to lose some subscribers.
There's another thing..Developers never promised to deliver CB revamp and GCW on time. If you recall Gattis ?? (spelling) in his state of the game letter saidnothing was set in stone and expect changes. In fact just going off memory he said that more than once. So Im not surprised in the least bit.
There is something I am verytroubled about though. I read the straticchat and I recall that one player asked if it would be possible to place roads for player cities and someone who? cant remember said that placing roads would be very difficult due to the design of the buildings. If you cant place roadsin this game becauseof the technical challenges involved Im concerned and worried about other limitations planetside. You talk about expansions. Expansions are nice but if there is no progress in art content planetside it would feel...like something is missing... With expansion lets hope that new and interesting things appear.Im talking about planetside. I think you have space covered.

Start more opinion polls
QFE Thunderheart.
If you sampled the player basethe majoritywould want the CB and the GCW revamp well before the JTL.
It really sucks that you are taking this away.
You would think that you would like to keep the powergamer accounts such as mine. ( Jedi, Multiple Accounts, Etc Etc )

Not to flame, but I would prefer a lot more to have the MAJOR bugs and non-functional things from basic professions and GCWbefore being worried about new content like roads and all... This is why all those people are frustrated, because the basic fixes to the core of the game we were promised will probably come only in the next year, which mean the game will still be Beta for another while ![]()

I just picked up City of Heroes and I'm currently in the process of getting it installed on my machine. I'll let you know in about a week if this affects my Star Wars: Galaxies, A Jedi Imbalance account by then. I'm glad I only opted to pay by the month.

The fact that all of our responses have been "archived" without a word signifies to me how seriously SOE takes our opinions..... which is very little.

meh. Thunderhearts truly staggering lack of integrity is apalling at times. No wonder he's the PR flack.

Yeesh, so many bitter people. Am I the only one who thinks this move might sting a bit now, but be better for the long-term health of the game?

AHHH! So much negativity. So many wanting to quit. Well...I think that this is a good thing.
1. The ground game as is, is playable.
2. The ground game as is, can be very fun.
3. The commitment of all devs as a unified force may mean faster and more complete results.
4. Anything that gets me into space sooner is a good thing.
5. Those that quit because of a delay may be the type of player that doesnt promote a positive game environment anyways.
6. When you weigh the amount of veteran players lost to the new players that will be added to the expansion, the result will be many less people that will complain about how things use to be or pointing out every mistake any official has made along the way.
7. Anything that delays the combat nerf is a good thing.
8. Should be some nice house lots opening up.
9. It appears that the top issues of each combat professions will be addressed anyways so the broken specials and stuff may be fixed and we get JTL on time. Talking about having your cake and eating too!
10. Less spawn campers.
11. Those quitters have probably bought all my wares anyways, give me new blood!
12. If thousands of people quit it dramatically increases the faithfuls odds of getting into beta.
13. If thousands of vets quit it dramatically increases the value of our vet paintings.
Hmmm. Can't think of any more positive remarks for the schedule change but im sure someone will come up with some nice ones. I don't know why anyone sees this as a bad thing but I guess some may even one star me just to be negative. Seems thats all some people know.
