I can't belive SOE will let it go that way and do nothing, not even an answer from the dev to the community or anything.
I can't believe I am currently paying a team of devs to work on an expansion that Iwould (because I won't) have to buy, leaving the current game unfixed and not fun.
This is really a KO slap in the facce of every players that paid to have fun, which is certainly not the case right now (except for some jedi).
Where are gone my ingame friends and guildmate? I guess they did the right solution, hit the big bad bold Cancell button.
I was always told that customers were the more important part of a business and you had to have a good relationship with them to keep going well, now I see this isn't true everywhere... The true solution is getting closer

Dear Developers, Community Members,
I will start with an apology for making another post in this same (new) thread.
I love Star Wars. I love this game. I hate the things in it that are broken which can be fixed, but will not be for a long time yet to come. I am still in a state of semi shock over what has transpired over the last two days, and with the Beta Registration going live, releasing info on 13 of 15 ships right now, and a perceived ignoring of this thread while still, seemingly, merrily going about the days business just feels like such a slap in the face.
On the other side of this coin, had we not received the news about the further delay of the CB, all of these items that you have released today, and the Village post would have been fantastic! It all looks so great and makes me want to play, it makes me yearn to experience the mysteries of the force. I want to zoom thru space with my ship, just taking in all the detail that you guys have so carefully, and meticulously crafted. It appears to be a true work of art and even love.
I admire and respect the work that you the developers put into this game. But days like yesterday just slash away at my loyalty meter. I would say that my loyalty to SWG is about 65% right now.I am a fickle person, but I appreciate stability and knowing that when things are out of whack, they will be fixed swiftly, and that when I am told something, that it will be taken care of.
There has been a trend in SWG to delay and push off things that have been told to the community. Right now I do not trust you, and as such I can not even back up a statement made in print by you, the Developers, to defend you as your repectometer has become rusted and corroded.
Please, please in the future, if you can not make these kinds of deadlines, just do not make them. We do not want the stream of info to stop however. We want honesty and straight up truth about realistic timetables and what items, you the Dev's, feel are most crucial. Because somewhere from here to there, we both lost contact apparently and damage has been done.
We have all talked and talked about communication and how to improve it, the Corrospondant Program was put in place to help tackle that hurdle, but we still receive next to no info from our Professions Cor's because they are either not receiving any, or they have been told to be silent. Loosen the lines a bit and have daily chats with them, or at least talk every other day.
Do not wait until a time like this so that you have to go into Spin Doctor mode. That just infuriates a lot of us. Speak with them about the mood of the gamers, about nothing in particular at all even, just ask how they are and how there day is. There has got to be constant communication and the community as a whole needs to be informed when things like this are being talked about.
Start more opinion polls, hire a few full time entertainment folks to help Pex pull off more "spur of the moment" (Planned but seemingly out of the blue for the player), live events. Host contests here on the forums and let the prizes be anything from rare, and I mean rare, paintings to special pets. Engage and entertain us, with live chats daily ( Yes make appearances in the already live chat rooms we have on the log-in screen).
There are many, many small things you can do, and continue to do while "working under the hood"on various different aspects of the game. But the most important thing you can do is tell us what you are working on right now (and in the future) and why they are being worked on as well as the timeframe for completion.
Sorry for yet another long post and I hope it was worth the read, but I am still disturbed, but I am getting better
Sincerly,
The player of Dunk, Dunk, Durney and Lucius of Lowca and Shadowfire

See my "Save Our Game" campaign in the GCW thread. We have to have a change in management in order to get the game we were promised. Please help.

Rhysati wrote:I posted in the first topic about this...but now I'm even more peeved than before...I understand that the post was "archived" but I feel more like it was swept under the rug, so to speak. I think it is also rediculous that our lovely TH, stopped replying to us. For awhile there, TH kept up with the posts the best he could...but now I guess they expect us to just stop posting after we realize they don't care anymore...
What do you expect TH to do, say, "Please, sir/madam, may I have another?" in response to the angry posts?
Seriously, although I am completely disgusted with the turn of events, I must say TH is handling this decently right now. They could have very easily just deleted the thread permanently. I do not absolve TH from the situation in any way, shape, or form - as you can see from the above collection of quotes from him, beginning last year, he has been promising this for far too long and by attaching his name to all those posts he has direct responsibility for those comments.
I believe we have been heard, and can do more to continue to be heard. Personally, I cancelled my two alternate accounts yesterday (and filled out the exit poll, letting them know why). Unfortunately, that's the only way to TRULY be heard - SOE will be seeing $30 bucks less a month from me. This is the only way to sent a message to the suits - the only language they understand is spreadsheets with + or - on them.
I'm really not sure where things can go from here - word is beginning to spread in-game like wildfire right now, and it ain't pretty. It's clear this has been the last straw for many, and that many more are ready to jump ship unless something spectacular happens soon.
I don't envy anyone at SOE/LA right now - although they certainly made their own beds by misleading us (either intentionally or not) for so terribly long, the time of reckoning seems pretty well-neigh. This is the turning point of SWG - we are about as low as a community as I think we have ever been - and it's either going to get better, or SWG is going to fade into the background of MMO's that were too ambitious for their own good, regardless of how many people may have been lured to purchase the box at a store.
It's totally up to the Devs and the suits now - they need to have a pow-wow and include the community. No more promises - we want action, and we want the truth. Anything less, and this community is going to continue to experience the polarizing effect that has us already going the way of the Death Star - imploding onto itself.
It's our only hope.

You guys can delete, I mean archive, this thread as many times as you want. My response and that of many players will stay the same.
I am NOT renewing my accounts when they run out.
BTW, for those who care, DOOM 3 has gone gold and there is a review in PCG. Quote from the magazine:
Highs: Extraordinary graphics and sound; incredible tension, atmosphere, and mayhem.
Lows: Some stabs at humor fall a bit flat.
Bottom Line: Just as we'd hoped, it's a non-stop ride of tension, carnage and terror. A new classic

Thank god Idsoftware has some compassion for their player base and respects their opinions.

I was planning on sticking it out till JtL... but if there aren't going to be any significant fixes to broken game systems until after JtL, why keep my subscription active in the meantime? Might as well cancel now and then get JtL IF AND ONLY IF I hearit's not as buggy as the ground game. And given how frantically I'm sure SOE will be rushing to get JtL out the door, I'd say odds are good it's going to be every bit as buggy.
After reading this thread and reflecting on how much "fun" I've had in SWG lately, it doesn't seem worth it to stick around. I haven't logged on in about a week, and not for lack of free time - I just have to make the choice between a fun round of UT and spending half an hour getting buffs, or juggling factory runs, or whatever the hell else it is you do in this game, before getting to the few-and-far-between fun parts. And more and more often, other games are winning out. And now I hear that Doom 3 is coming out in a mere matter of weeks? That makes the decision that much easier.
The only thing I'll miss about this game is gettingto take part in the forum drama. It's almost worth my $15 a month in itself. Almost.
Cancelling first thing when I get home. Thanks for all the memories. I'll check up in another couple years and see if the game's been fixed.

This is why I encourage everyone to read my "Save Our Game" post in the GCW forum. TH is not the problem, and he has been given the impossible job of feeding us $h!t and hoping we'll continue to take it time and time again. He is doing the best he can do I think. The problem is in the management of this product, and it must be changed. Please help by mailing your opinions to the executives at Sony. I have provided names and addresses in my thread.

PS: it was tempting to stick around to see the new FS quest system, but on reflection, odds seem incredibly low that the quests will be any different from the millions of other "whack a foozle" drudgery we have now. Just look at the Jedi Knight trials... I'm sure that's a preview of what the devs consider "exciting quest content."
The Zicx Bug Bomb quest was freaking awesome, and I did that in my first couple months playing. Every other bit of PvE I've done since then has been downhill. I won't even mention how bad PvP has gotten.

I'm sorry, but I just don't agree that the suits are the only ones at fault.
I did not say TH was the only problem, but he was/is certainly part of it.
When you attach your name to something you become responsible for it, period. When you repeatedly put your name on the same comments, over and over, you reaffirm this responsibility.
Good luck on your campaign, but recognize that there is plenty of responsibility going around. "They told me to do it" is no excuse when your personal integrity is on the line.
I have yet to hear the words "I'm sorry" yet from TH - and that would be a small step in the right direction.
