Thread: Desired Rewards
there is soo much you can do! I'm only posting this for the better of the game. I feel the behavior of the staff needs re-adjusting.
But you can add rare clothing tape and rare armor segments. So many armor segments will turn a crafted armor into a special armor. For example: get 6 rare peices, give them names like, eye of han solo, arm of han solo, leg of han solo, foot of han solo, and torso of han solo armor segments(for lack of a better name). These will be a rare drop. Get the8 together and after crafting it forms a Han Solo armor suit. With incredible stats too. This not only helps content but it also helps the crafters.
Rare tape - beat a krayte dragon, 1 out of 1000, and get a +50 to some state. Tape or armor segment.
more cruddy weapon drops and let the junk dealer buy them off you. this would help the newbie players.
maps to rare content being takin place - "Assult on Theed at 0700 hours".Maps to rare beast - "I have never seen anything like these, but i have spotted a never before seen beast. both a male and female and i saw a baby too." Waypoint enclosed. Keep in mind these are rare drops.
Allow more sliced containers to be found and looted besides the boreing locked container. Add a variety. Locked containers would have a small chance of opening rare loot as stated in this forum.
Plenty of added stat enahcements.
"Blaster power handler special enhacement:
+10 to aim
+15 to accuracy
.5 speed" rating - good (a bit more rare)
"Projectile feed mechanism special enhancements
+1 to speed
.6 speed" rating - bad (plenty)
man i can go on forever!
I've mentioned this in the "What would be more Star Warsy" thread but is relevant here so I'll repeat it:
At the end of the Rebel Theme Park all that happens is Luke says "Thanks, nothing else for you." What I would like to see is Princess Leia give me a medal in a big ceremony (think end of A New Hope). This could be done as just Leia in a room with a couple of others, or have a ceremony once every so often for anyone who's finished but hasn't received their medal yet.
I haven't done the Imperial Theme Park yet, but the idea of standing in front of a Legion of Stormtroopers while getting a medal by a Marshall (think Emperor's Arrival in RotJ) sounds pretty neat.
I'd like to see some home improvement items. I'm not saying furniture.. although carpets would be nice. I'd like to see rewards like being able to put windows into your home. Maybe the ability to add a room. Or to get some furniture items that you can place on the patio or around the house. Make it look like the Darklighter home with palmtrees and gardens around your house. I know that you can do that now with player cities, but it'd be nice to be able to decorate the outside of your home even if you don't livein a city.

I am open to anything Expanded universe Content to the current Content. What i am upset about is a High level Mob droping a Wood Staff. I mean drop soemthing. Drop rare droid engineer parts, MORE skill tapes. Something that crafters can't make. Right now the system is cayusing over camps and Kill stealing for no reward. Atleast up the reward some on PVE wilderness mobs, Compaired to Stationary Cave Raids.
Things like Padwon Force Practice devices when Luke was blind folded and was practicing with that hovering object. On the Falcon.
Better drop rate on Skill Tapes and Armor Segments. Right now you are lucky to ever see one of any value. Give us some mods.....
We are talking a Huge Universe that Lucas Created you can find something better then wood staffs on high leve mobs... Trophys are nice
1 Rare shematics
2 Rare Furnitures (a nightsister statue would be perfect in my house after I finish a impossible mission on dathomir)
3Anything that doesn't unbalance the game and would be fun to chase (rare pieces of clothes, non-fighting cute pet.....)
Not sure if anyone will read this, this post is so big, but anyways...
I think it would be awesome if there were a few very hard, and very long quests that would give you a small, perminent predeturmined Stat change-
IE-You have tofind&kill 3 exiled evil "force sensitive"brothers, each with a piece of non-tradable crystal. When you find& kill thefinal brother, you get the thrird crystal. When you assemble it, it surges with "the force" and evaporates. The wave of "the force" that went through youadds 100 points to your Health stat.
And there would be 1-2 simular quests for mind and action, and maybe1 quest for Strength (say for combat characters) or for Quickness (for entertainers).
Finally, you would be limited to three quests, or as many as 2boosts to any one stat.
You know, it seems to me that this really isn't that difficult. The goal is to have a reward that isn't available elsewhere but at the same time doesn't decrease the desire for/value of player crafted items. I think this automatically makes weapons and armor unlikely candidates. If you make something uber enough that peeps are willing to endure a long hard quest for then it will almost certainly be better than crafted counterparts.
Looking on trade forums, i often see skill tapes with decent stats going for fairly high sums. I think with skill tapes and armor segments you have an answer. You can develop a wide variety of very desirable skill tapes quite easily. You can make them desirable but over the top for mid level quests, desirable and impressive for difficult quests, and blow your mind "here's my 5 million credit bid just to be in the same room with it" for the top quests (perhaps quests that are not easy to even start and can only be completed by a group of high level characters). Being things that require player crafters goods to even use, slotted clothing or an armorsmith to implement your uber armor seg, could help crafters and the economy.
I for one would like to know that there are quests out there that i could solo if i had the time and desire that resulted in, say, a +20 med experimentation (+2 exp points) or a +10 to melee defense, if i was successful with a difficult task and that if i dared to dream i might someday get the uber +20melee, +20 ranged def tape that involved taking a quest from a rare, random spawn somewhere in the galaxy and required the killing of two ancient crates and some insane force sensitive on Dath within x hours of taking the quest without dying.
You get the point. Allows for an easy way to create awide variety of quest items;reward is scaleable to quest difficulty and availability; not only does it not hurt but helps crafters; highly useful/desireable.
Just my two credits
I like the idea of schematic/component drops for crafters, but I also don't understand why it takes a master crafter to make an item for a novice warrior type (i.e. Elite carbine, T-21, DX2). The crafter has to get all the way through profession (almost) to be able to do much with it. There needs to be weapon certification's above novice for the combat professions. And those weapons need to be craftable in tiers under master. Also, make crafted weapons what they are now, weapons that make sense (i.e. slow, long range, high damage rifles - quick, low dmg, short range pistols - carbines in between somewhere). Then throw in loot weapons that break the mold so to speak (quick, med range, med dmg rifles - long range "hand cannons"). You can also throw in schematics for the new weapons, and make the loot version equivalent to the crafters version with "good success" (on their experiementation). That way, you bring in valuable loot, without undercutting crafters at all. You also keep crafters on the forefront of item introduction without giving them a total monopoly on equipment....everyone wins. In addition, we need a mafia style carbine that does kinetic dmg, a star wars equivalent of the tommy gun.
