Hi there everyone. I was curious about what kind of characters everyone else is making since i dont hear much talk about it, so i figured we could all share our *current* character designs and what you plan do do with them and why. Ill start off i guess =)

Master Marksman

Master Scout

Master Carbineer

Novice BH w/ BH carbine 1-3

Novice Medic

I originally chose to grab all of the BH carbine tree, but decided i could sacrifce +10 accuracy and speed for the ability to use stimpack B's and dramatically reduce down time and give myself that little extra boost when it came to PvP and faction battles. Basically, with mastering carbineer and all but one of the BH tree, your giving yourself incredible carbine skills, far superior to a master BH or master carbineer, you have pretty much all the special moves except for confusion shot in BH carbine 4. The medic ability just lets you pull back from a fight momentarily, patch up real quick a bit and jump back in and ive already noticed that my downtime is almost non existent using stims during and after battles where appropriate.

This character is primarily designed to be front line shock troop for faction battles and hunting. The scout ability also gives a nice bonus to healing, especially if you hang out with real medics.

Ive got Novice bounty hunter with carbine 1-2 and novice carbiner with carbine counterinsergency 1 already, but without some better weapons wih decent HAM costs, getting 250k carbine xp for another skill takes a while

P.S. - i didnt get underhand shot before nerf, but it seems pretty good right now, i knock down banthas and such pretty consistently and it has better HAM costs than fullauto2 or burstshot1.

Come on, post your templates.

Hmm, I didn't think I really applied since I'm a Squad Leader first and a Carbineer second...

But my character will look like this:

Master Squad Leader / Master Carbineer / Apprentice Dancer

Simple, really.

With Master Squad Leader as my #1 goal, I can't spare all the pre-reqs and other skills to get the Bounty Hunter carbine skills without sacrificing almost the entire Carbineer tree. So I say no Bounty Hunter skills, pure Carbineer, and lets dance the night away.

I have the Apprentice Dancer part done already

Master Carbineer

Scout: 4 - 0 - 4 - 1

Marksman: 0 - 0 - 4 - 4

Master CH

Medic 3 - 1 - 0 - 2

I think that works out...

Well, I'm basically going for the PVP setup.

BH Carbine 4
Master Carbineer
Medical Abilities, CH or BH Pistol 3.

Right now I have BH 4 and I'm 0 3 3 3 into carbineer.

SOJ, with BH carbine 1-4 and master carbineer, you have 13 points left over. thats not enough for a starting prof like medic(i know, that was my original build). with 13 points, you could pump up BH pistol or lightning cannon to lvl 3 or do novice and 1 box in either CH or squad leader.

oh yeah, SOJ, if you have BH 4, then would you please give us a run down on what you think of confusion shot?

havent heard any real first hand opinions of it.

Ah, yes, I could drop BH Carbine 4 and get novice medic or novice CH. I was actually planning on getting up to BH Pistol 3, maybe.

As for confusion shot. If you ask me, Underhand shot and Confusion shot should be switched because of their effectiveness. Like all BH skills (I think) it has a X5 damage modifyer. This means that it can do just as much damage as underhand shot or fire knockdown. That's if I'm correct, I haven't actually been testing these, really. But what it does is when you fire, you will do nice damage and have the chance to stun, and dizzy them. That's basically what I see in the skill. It's not really that great and I use underhand shot much more than confusion shot. I have no idea what confusion is because it doesn't seem to be working or it just doesn't do anything or effect creatures, even lowly ones.

Mine has been:

MAster Marksman

MAster Scout

BH Carbine 4

MAster Carbineer.

Pretty close to what the original poster's had. HAven't decided what to do with the extra points yet, if anything. (all what would be left is BH skills)

I'm currently spread all over the board skill wise. I'm surrendering stuff as I improve my elite professions tho.

Current:

Medic 2 2 1 1

Artisan 0 1 0 4

Scout 4 0 4 2

Marksman: Master

Carbineer: 3 2 0 1

Creature Handler: 1 2 1 1

I was one box from BH and then started playing with CH....I might wind up going BH now once I see what they really do with the CH nerf. CH has been pretty cool so far, even though I'm not a wiz at getting mad xp with it. I hope CH stays strong because I don't want to have to try and get wilderness xp again, that just blows.

Final template atm is going to be:

Master CH

Master Carbineer

medic as high as I can keep it.

its strange to me. ive heard that the BH carbine skills are supposed to have a x5 damage modifier, but i havent noticed it. i have never hit with underhand shot for nearly as much as i can with fullauto2. usually underhand shots average is about 50 points lower than fullauto2. is it supposed to be that way, is it bugged? or am i just crazy?

yeah, theres one thing i can say, being able to use stim B's is a incredible boost to the survival rate of my character and almost no down time. while i dont like giving up BH carbine 4, its the most valuable 2 points ive used i think. thats why i was curious about confusion shot, as +10 to accuracy and speed and confusion shot are what your giving up for stim B's.
