Thread: So is there going to be no In Dev: Carbineer update?

at this point, im very discouraged. they havent bothered to address any of our concerns in 2 weeks while theyve been busy posting in other prof forums. im of the opion now that they just dont give **edit**.

They will get around to fixing our issues. Why would they seemingly dislike one profession over the other? That doesnt make sense at all.



Unless their parents were murdered by carbineers or something.


Carbineers were not the only class that isn't getting any changes, I'd expect the rest to follow soon.

I just reat this so it may be the answer to our high HAM costs

A weapon stock is no longer required on the DH17 carbines.
The minimum HAM penalty range on option weapon components has been reduced to zero. Therefore it is technically possible to experiment away all of the penalties.

voodoo, the stock thing and component experimentation to zero issue was mentioned by holo in his original post. if experimentation is the root of the problem, then why are the very same weaponsmiths that make our carbines able to make really low costs pistols and rifle byMORE than twice as low.


pistols and rifles dont need the same kind of immediate attention our profession does. hell, even pistoleers and riflemen acknowledge the serious HAM issue with carbines. not addressing this when weve been letting them know about it loud and clear is completely unnacceptable. even worse, is no contact from any dev at all despite all our concerns in 2 weeks.

Hopefully Q-3PO is still typing ours up, but I'm disheartened to see that half the professions have fixes on the way and the carbineers are left wanting. I did notice that WildShot is going to be fixed, but what about LegShot3? What about the HAM costs??!

Yeah, I don't think it's experimentation on optional components that's necessarily the problem. It's experimentation on carbines period. Apparently, weaponsmiths can throw all their experimentation points at efficiency and still only reduce HAM by four points or something low like that, whereas with other weapons they can reduce by half or more.

I'm sure they want to attend to all professions, but this is doubly discouraging because they "fixed" a lot of professions that are fine right now. I mean, did they need to fix the scout or the medic? Right now, the two combat classes most messed up are Commando and Carbineer, and they didn't bother to help either.
