Thread: Cripple shot vs. burst shot
What's the diff between the two? They seem to both say they do more than default damage.
I went to some site that gave the damage multipliers for all the moves (might have been swgcenter.com) and it listed crippling shot as having a reeeaally nice multiplier for more HAM cost.
Might be bugged like many other things, but the devs can't possibly fix us. They are much too busy adding timesinks to the CH profession.
i was wondering this also, im thinking either burst shot 2 or cripple...

Upon more testing of Crippling Shot, I found it to be pretty good. I was hitting pretty high today and I hit up to 1369 or so on a Tortur Bull which came out to 2,032 damage with my laser carbine. It does suck away a lot of HAM to use, though. The accuracy mods were welcomed as well.
It doesn't seem to do that much at all.. Burst1 out damages it most of the time.
I was hoping for a higher wound chance. But out of 10 shots.. not one wound with Laser Carb vs a PC.
It will still be some time be for we can get really good testing going to hand back as feed back. On Flurry no one can make the higher end weapons nor is there a master weapon or armor smith yet.
I got Burst 1, used it for quite a while, my highest dmg with a 17-256 laser carb was around 1600.
So i went up in Marksmanship to try out crippling shot, had it for a few days now, my highest damage so far is 1940, comes out to 2500 or so on the mob, so it is a bit better, but eats action up quick, almost twice as much as burst shot.
So i just stick with burst 1 mostly, it spreads it across all the HAM, so i can get a lot more off before i have to heal.
I have noticed crippling does high dmg shots a lot more then burst. I'll probly just use it for pvp, 1 shot kills.
