Thread: Dev's going to fix this class or not?

I sent away my first report. I believe they will continue to balance classes. The carbineer is a good, solid class.. if they fix the high ham costs. Untill they fix the high ham costs, I will use action shot to level. I definately see that as compensation.

being a BH and carbineer i whole heartedly support bring down the knockdown chance on underhand shot to a respectable level based on what your targets defense is. thats a fix for BH. for carbines they need to fix carbine HAM issues ASAP. i think we need to start drawing a line between BH and carbineer tweaking...too often BH carbine specials are referred to as carbines as a whole.

while all the classes have their problems, of the big three combat types, riflemen pistoleer, and caribeneer (er however they spell it) carbiens are the worst off. right now carbines do less damage and attack slower than pistols, at higher cost to ham bars... rifles get higher damage, and both pistols and rifles target the better mind pool, with eye shot and mind shot.

Is there any news on the carbineer class being fixed? I feel like I have wasted my time going through this class and I'm about to start all over again.

danath is exactly right, all we really need are the bonuses and more defense stuff. In ever single duel i have been in, i use burst shot. And within 1-2 shots the person is dead.


And carbines are supposed to be lsower than pistols but faster than rifles and do in between damage which is what i have seen.


Now if you want a class that needs buffing look at squad leader...

like mad said, carbine sould be a bit slower than pistols, but they should also do a bit more damage(which they do not). also, even though this isnt specific to carbine balance, the pistol is king in faction battle simply cause of mind damage. if you get hit with any serious mind damage your out of the fight dead or not as medics cant heal this, you just have to sit for a while to let it regen. they need to take a close look at mind damage and how it works into pvp.

Eye shot is a bounty hunter skill not a pistoler and Carbines are supposed to be slower than pistols. Honestly ive pvp'ed with all three weapons, and they all work very well. Carbines are incredble weapons when you attack several differnt people at once. And there beyound usefull when your comming to clear out a siege. Most of your targets will have no action left...



The only problems that really hold us back compared to the other two classes is the overly high ham cost. No other class can kill themselves so well


And the fact that we need a few more bonus's. Carbines do get alot of blind,stun attacks...but still we need some Aim modifications...

They need to add a War-Drum instrument and let entertainers play it in battle to heal mind damage whithin say a 64m radius all his group members will heal their mind damage. Either that, you PvP'ers should be downing spice like crazy.
