How's this for some Damage Per 10 Seconds Calculations:

Fast: 315-800

Damage: 219-561

I think the choice is obvious.

JustinSane - Master Carbineer/Musician - Chilastra

CH, Marksman, Scout, Carbineer, Bio Engineer, Medic, Combat Medic, Merchant, Artisan, Dancer, Image Designer, Entertainer, Musician....all to get to Jedi.

It depends on your stats. Even with HAM costs that low, a fast carbine will still chew through your health.

Hi! I've got 2 DH-17's, once is sliced for more speed, another for more damage. Here are the base stats for the carbine, followed by fast then dmg. Which should I choose, the onethats faster, or the one thats more damaging. Which should I take?

Base DH-17 : 63 - 160, 2.6, 26/28/14

Fast one : 63 - 160, 1.9, 26/28/14

Damaging one : 73 - 187, 2.6, 26/28/14

I was suggestedthe fast one bytheSlicercause theHAM is exceptionally low, which makes it O.K. Perhaps not. What say you?

It depends on you speed mods as well.

speed tricks most people that uses carbines. if they get their gun too fast, the high cost of HAM will kill them. but if you can open attack with a few specials fast at first you should kill most anything before they get too close.

The 10 second cycle calc was a nice comparison.

Here's another,

Your "damage" carbine has about a 15% increase in damage (I'm doing that in my head so who cares if it's exact or not) over the other one.

Your "speed" carbine has a roughly 25% increase in speed over the other one.

As far as improvements go, the speed boost is better too.

So you have two votes for speed now.

Once master, I think damage is all that matters.

I have master carbineer and BH carbine 1-3. I have 2 laser carbs, 1 with 2.7 speed and 1 with 4.0. I dont notice any difference in speed at my level. Go with damage once your fairly high up.

O.K thanks fellas. Yeah I chose the quicker one, just dont use specials all the time, but if I do, that poor soul is smoked...but so am I heh, useful in pvp I'd imagine.
