why, with about 5k points shy of Carbine Specialist, and I having to stand toe-to-toe with a dwarf nuna for almost a MINUTE to get in enough hits to kill it?

i played last night and didn't miss this much, so i'm assuming it's something in the patch - anyone else seeing this?

I was just noticing this too. I missed 5 or 6 shots in a row against a Wort.

I've noticed this as well, I was fighting some faction NPCs (which were light blue to me) and I missed about 5 times in a row before finally mowing the guy down.

Good, I thought that it was just me that was missing all the time now. I was looking for any posts earlier about this and didn't see any so I assumed that I was imagining it. This is something that they need to fix right away. I am getting incapped constantly now. I shoot something and it is up on me before I have hit it and then it usually kills me because we suck at close range too. Beautiful.

I was fighting in pvp as a carbine specialist and realize I suck now Maybe I was missing like hell.

Me also..I was having trouble with a womp rat.

I understand that shooting point blank range with a ranged weapon might cause you to be less accurate, but isn't that why we get these +accuracy for being a carbineer?

I have noticed the opposite actualy, before the patch I would reguarly miss 4-5 charge shots in a row soloing baz nitches,my char has 3, 4, 4, 3 in the carb prof.Now I rarely miss more than 2 shots in a row.

However one thing is realy annoying me since the patch. Try stringing up 3-4 special moves and watch your combat spam. I will line up 3-4 action shots or charge shots and I will watch my combat spam and see 'you shoot at XXXXX'...instead of 'you charge shot XXXX'.

I just trained up Novice Carbineer last night, and I rarely miss anything anymore . Not saying you don't have a problem, but it could be a particular problem you are having.

At point blank range my accuracy has crashed through the floor.

I'm almost half way up the carbineer tree, and have started to miss loads too - at all ranges.

PvP the other day was stupid - I missed about 50% of my shots even with the carbineer accuracy skills I've got

It probably is a point blank thing. I shot a peko peko and it flew so fast it was over me immediately. I tried 5 times to actionshot him so I could get some distance between us but kept missing.

This is a good reason to keep your old CDEF carbine around - they usually have a 0 range modifier at point blank, and a 35m optimum range, which means they are the best carbine for actually scoring a hit at point blank.

When you're trying to get that posture-down to happen, it just might save your life.
