Thread: 24 points to spend on Carbineer
I have 24 points to spend in Carbineer left after I master my medical profession. I was wondering if you ladies and gentlemen had any recommendations on what I should pursue.
My goal is to primarily act as support in a group with occasional soloing when I don't have much time or can't find anyone. Therefore mostly I want to focus on status and multipool damage rather than action shots. I think that I will get Intermediate Marksmanship for soloing but after that I don't know what to get.
If you who know could give a comparison of the bonuses and abilities of the different lines I would appreciate it greatly.

I would definately say get special abilities 2 for chargeshot and then mastering 1 of the other lines. Probably either assault or marksman.
Assault gets you speed bonuses and scattershot 2, marksman gets you accuracy bonuses and cripplingshot.
Using a laser carbine:
Scattershot 2 costs 110 ham and typically maxes at about 2500 damage randomly distributed between all 3 pools, ie 1000 to health, 1000 to health, 500 to mind.
Crippling shot costs about 110 ham and typically maxes at about 2500 damage to 1 pool.
I would say the crippling shot is a much better special than scattershot, but I like the speed mods batter than the accuracy mods.
It's a tough choice.
If you wanted to not have any left over points you could take special abilities up to 3 and assault or marksman to 3 as well.
