Man I got charge shot 1 about 4 days ago and I thought it was great, unitl yesterday that is.Yesterday I tried using this shot while pvping and it completely sucks. Immediately after knocking the person down, he/she could hop right back up. I was lucky to get a cripple shot in during the person's downtime. This was really bad if the person was a TK Master because if my cripple fialed ot incap I was screwed. Their knockdown is sooo much better. I would get knocked down and I couln't not get back up until one special was over, thus winding up in the cloning station. I was really hoping this would be the best carbineer attack, but it proved me wrong.

he has a point though, our knockdown does suck compared to other classes.

Chargeshot is essentially useless in almost all situations.

It has a rediculously high ham cost, almost double that of underhand shot

It does almost no damage at all

It keeps the mob down for almost no time at all

When I use underhand shot I can shoot the mob 2-3 times with another shot, sometimes even more. With chargeshot they are up and charging you in no time at all.

I hope these two skills get balanced out. Carbineers that don't have any pistol exp need some sort of knockdown that is at least decent in pvp.

I tend to agree that Chargeshot has little to no use in PvP, but in PvE, it's extremely useful. The knockdown time might be too short, and the HAM cost might be way too high, but it is an extremely powerful skill. Keep in mind that it's a guaranteed knockdown and even though it only knocks the victim down for 1 second, that's more than enough time to keep him off your back. Follow that up with Actionshot or Knockdownfire and you'd be amazed how effective this is!I like this skill a lot in PvE and it has saved my bacon more often than I care to imagine.

not only does it suck, but the little charge animation is extremely lame

I think it works ok althought I haven't tried it much yet.

what I dont like is not only it has that gay charge animation but it makes you MOVE TOWARDS your enemie. and like you all know Carbines have most of ideal range of 50m. Getting close to my target isn't a good thing.

That should be a PISTOL thing cuz they are ok closer to their target... not for carbines.

That should definately be changed. No Animations, No move close to target.

I wonder about the Multi-target Knockdown tho
Hope they didn't **edit** that one up we are the only one that get a multi-target Knockdown right?

anyway my 2 cents.

basically what i expected . The more iplay carbineer the more isee its effect as a support class not the major offensive one. alot of our moves when combined with other professions make for a deadly combination. For example using charge shot to allow brawlers to approach an enemy and such. The main problem with charge is that it doesntdo dizzy too like most knockdowns do. This means thatthe enemy can stand up as soon as they hit the stand button. If two worked as advertised ( dont know if it does or if it doesnt. ) it would provide great cover fire for brawlers. I think utlimataly we will have to learn how use our moves to support other troops on the battlefield to earn our place on it. Ican already see great potential in auto fire area 1 once i can completely control the mechanics of it.(killed a passing jawa when i was having a fight with two rebels. )

Or you could just use actionshot1, thus stopping the target and applying a bleed. Same affect, one fewer shots.

Chikitta, I think that if they were going to make a support weapon class, carbines would be the obvious choice. The automatic nature makes them no-brainers for AE attacks, and the fact that nearly every stormtrooper you ever see carries a carbine makes them their Star Wars image very group/squad-centric

i saw pistol whip a few days ago for the first time and the animation is hillarious! (at least when its dont on a jax rofl)

i think carbineers should get a move where we beat the target down with the butt of our weapon! it would look awsome to walk up to somebody and knock em in the face with the butt of your dxr6.
