How much does each + 5 or + 10 carbine speed take off of the weapon speed, percent or another,

Example: you have a 3.3 speed ee3 and you have the second block of the carbine assault tatics so you get +20 to carbine speed,oh much willthe speedof the carbine be?

Thanks, sorry if thisdoesn't make sense i am in a rush got to go towork.

I think for every +10 Carbine Speed you take off 1/10 of a second, so if you have +40 Carbine Speed and your weapon is 3.3 speed, it will be a 2.7 speed weapon. I think the overall weapon speed can never be reduced to below 1.0, regardless of slices and other modifiers.

wish we could see our modified stats, so we know that buying a 2.3 speed or 2.6 speed would make 0 differance and to go with the higher damage.

That's funny, I have +105 to carbine speed, and I use a 4.4s laser. I shoot every second. There's obviously a cap for speed, because I also shoot every second while using a 3.4 laser.

The way thespeed works now isbugged pretty bad. Seems to work ok till +60-75 or so, but after that you'll shoot every second with anything when you get over that certain point.. which is around +80-90 or something. The same goes with pistols and rifles too. Speed seems pretty much capped at 1.0, also tested this with someone with bounty pistol and pistoleer mastered, 1.8 speed pistol, 1.0 firing speed. Some people swear they see pistols shoot 3 times a second, but that's just their imagination unless the combat tab lies.

Now, how the speed is SUPPOSED to work, I'm not sure.. But the -0.1 weaponspeed per 10 speed mod seems unlikely, cause that'd screw over the higher delay higher damage weapons, so it's probably a percentage off the weapon delay

Sarne, it's not bugged. The thing is, after a certain percentage (each point is a percentage increase in speed) even the slowest weapon will nearly hit the speed cap of 1 second.

its percentage based to my knowledge, with a hard cap at 1.0 seconds, which mean once you get enough speed(45+??), start using dmg sliced weps, and you should see your DPS fly up.

+10 speed = 10% faster reload

Check this forum for a post by me about the subject (What +10 speed means.)

You can also check the pistoleer forums and see that their coorespondent did similar experiments and found the same thing.

And yes...this means you get exponential increases in damage as speed increases...

I think it's partially bugged. I currently have +115 carbine speed, and I do shoot about once a second while standing. Laying down though is another thing. I have a 2.4 speed DH17 that I use (unsliced 8D) and I can ALMOST have constant fire with it. I shoot like 10 shots in a row, then it takes a second break, then continues. Now only if I could do that with my laser and I'd be set....

Untouchable...

Thats a graphics issue. Turn on the combat window and you will see more numbers appearing than the number of shots. I see this all the time with my DH17 and I not anywhere near +100.
