Thread: Actionshot1 damage ignored in the exp calculations
I searched this forum but couldn't find a thread about this. This isn't about bleed damage killing the target where no one gets exp.
I didsome testing with this special todayand I've come to the conclusion that all damage you manage to deal out with actionshot1 is ignored in the exp division calculations. I grouped with a friend all day and tried out different combinations. If you only use actionshot1 during the whole fight, you will get 0 exp while the rest of the group gets it all.
This special can be used to balance the weapons exp among your groupmates if you so choose ("power leveling") and since ithasposture down as an effect, it is a very convenient move for it. On one hand, this exp penalty could be part of the design, but that would be a pretty odd approach.

Also, has anyone noticed that actionshot2 sometimes does more than just action bleed? I've shot at packs of rills and nunas before and have had half of them die outright from health damage. In other words, the actionshot2 does *damage* to other pools, and not just DoT. ???
Nope action shot 2 is the same effect, but it appears to dmg mobs in a cone. So you probably blasted em all and they immediately bled their action. Or it was just a bug, not sure....
