A question froma fencer considering adding a carbine to his arsenal:


Does Legshot actually knock the enemy down, laying him prone? Does it provide any crippling effect, like reduced speed? Or does it just hit the action bar, and you have to pretend/roleplay that his leg is hurt?


I know it's not the most damaging special carbineer attack, but what are the advantages of Legshot?

i LOVE legshot. it only hits the action bar. i have yet to see someone fall down from me using it.


but the other night, i used it on an NPC and it said i hit him in the kneecap!



using legshot2, i can take down most blue cons in 1 shot, and most white cons in 2.

Leg shot strictly does damage to the action bar. Leg Shot also has a chance at stunning the target, but no knockdowns. Because it does damage to one bar and not random, leg shot can be used to focus on the same bar and take the creature down faster. Also in groups of carbineers, they can focus on the action bar and take creatures down quickly as well.

ChargeShot1 and 2 are knockdowns.


SuppressionFire1 and 2 would be posture-downs, but they are not working at this time.


Thereare no skills that slow down an opponent.

So Charge Shot sounds like just what I'm looking for, but it's rather high up on the tree... Oh well, gotta start sometime

Its a TON of Combat XP....


145,000 Combat XP to get our first Knockdown...


Thats more than three and a half times the Combat XP needed for BH or Commando.

Thanks! Good to know... Then is there any Carbineer skill that does what I described, reliably knocking down or slowingdown the target some or most of the time?

Legshot series: hits action pool, that's all


Action shot series: hits action pool, causes action bleed, posture change down 1 level (from stand to kneel, or kneel to prone)


Charge shot series: knockdown
