Sometimes I'm thinking I'm the only one.

I KNOW there are problems with the class, things that seriously affect our effectiveness and take away from the fun factor.

But, at the same time, my PVE stuff is really pretty fun, and I'm looking forward to the new skills i'm getting as I advance. I've incapped most everyone I've fought PVP, and only have died when being outnumbered.

I think with some tweaks and add-ins we are going to be a very respectable class as a whole.

I am enjoying very much so far and am very happy with my overall damage output. Im just hoping the dev's do some fixes and tweaking with some of our specials soon.

The carbineer has issues with some special attacks and with the carbine itself but we are far from the most messed up class; just look at droid engineers and bio engineers--those 2 classes are just broken. Or how about the smuggler that has 1 completely useless discipline in its skill tree (**edit** is 'fast-talker' lol) How about the merchant class? Ya im going to spend 30 skill points for a +1 vendor modifier rofl.

I really enjoy carbineer also. I do not think it is near as messed up as my real profession commando. Carbineer gives me a semi-safe haven to chill in while waiting for commando to become a worthwhile profession.

I was in several of the Fort Tusken Raids today in Bria. Burst Shot 1 was doling out over 1000 damage per shot, averaging about 500, from my laser carbine. With medics in the group, plus healing myself, I was racking up the XP and not worrying about HAM. The thing that would kill me every time was not the HAM issue, but mind shot from some Uber-Tusken nuking my mind pool.

In short, I'm enjoying being a Carbine guy. I imagine I'll work my way up to Master Carbineer eventually.

Iam enjoying mine also, I quite like action shot 1 as everyone knows. It stops most things in it's tracks. I still tend to believe this is on purpose. In any case, my only gripe is the whole pvp thing when I get knockedown all the time by rebel bh's (you rebel scum!). But I am sure this will be allevated once I get a knock down skill also.

I really like carbineer, the AOE shots are nice to have in your bag of tricks and 'm 13 combat xp away from charge shot, I'm sure that will be fun.

Only have a day or 2 under my belt, but am loving it so far. Can't wait to upgrade my guns. I keep toying with where my skill points are going, but Carbineer stays the focus. My current (I change everyday mind you) is max Carb, master scout, go up the camp tree in ranger, and then get max bartender. So I will be a gun slingin' travelling bar. Go out on a hunt, kill some stuff, and then BAM!! Pull a small fort out of my bag and start partying!

I'm loving it. Made a friend outside of Mos Eisley yesterday when he was charged by 3 lesser bocatts. Guy only had a pistol and was taking damage when I came up and laid an actionshot2 and a couple burst shots. All three pretty much died simultaneously, and now my pistol friend is seriously considering going carbine too.

Our offensive shots are unbelievable. Even with the high ham costs, carbine is just way, way fun.

I am loving it. I can only do Action shot 1 at the moment, but that in itself is letting me take on creatures that I could never hope to fight before. I got mobbed by a gang of gurcats last night and almost survived it LOL. I had three of them charge me and got off Action shot on one, then I had to up and run. Running made me miss action shot on the second one, but I pegged the third one and started peppering the 2nd one with leg shot, but HAM costs + his claws raking me took me down to far and just after he dropped the first one came out of "pause" mode and finished me off

I killed two out of the three before I went down though, and at 330 Carbine xp per cat + never being able to drop one before... I was pretty happy

When I first started carbine in the marksman tree, I was really enjoying the carbine class. But now that I have reachedcarbineer with a few boxes up in the tree (8 boxes), I don't find the class appealing anymore because of the lack of variety of skills available (most of them are described as more damaging than default attack etc) plus most of them are not working as intended anyways, or in other words bugged. I certainly hope they fix our class asap

I love beinga carbineer the ammount of damage you can deal out is awsome. There are also some very cool tactics that can be used with carbines to slam mobs. Giant creatures such a dewbacks, bantha's, or faambas give great xp. All you need to do is hit them with an actionshot 1, an action shot 2, and a few leg shots, and you have over 1,000 xp. And make surewhen the mob starts to come after you from recovering from the knock down hit it with another action shot 2, and some leg shots..
