NOOB QUESTION! IS CHARGED SHOT 1 AE?

Do you guys have any information on charge shot 1 and 2? It's damage, what it does, it's effect on NPCs and PCs.

Charge shot 1, single target, very low damage, very high ham costs, knockdown for the usual few seconds, not very long in any case. Not all that great since the knockdown duration nerf, targets just dont stay down long enough to get much done in between, and spamming it wontdo much cause of the high ham costs and very low damage.

Charge shot 2, supposed to be ae, supposed to knockdown, doesnt do either of them. It's totally broken. ham costs though are alot lower than on charge shot 1 if I remember right, but really hard to say if it's gonna be good or not when it's fixed

Noob question: What is AE?

area effect, affects more than one target

Charge shot lasts long enough to shoot an NPC 3 times while he is down. It doesnt take much to swap in a CDEF carbine to fire a charge shot and back to a laser carbine for normal shots.
