What are your favorite kinds of carbine powerups?

I craft high quality powerups, but I'm not a fighter myself. I'd love to

find out what kinds of powerups you like best.

Please reply on this thread with the following:

1. If you could have ONE weapon attribute enhanced which would it be?

(Please pick from the list below)

2. If you could have TWO weapon attributes enhanced in one powerup, which

two would you like best? (Please pick from the list below)

Ranged Weapon enhancements

Maximum Damage
Minimum Damage
Attack Speed
Special Move Health Cost
Special Move Action Cost
Special Move Mind Cost
Point Blank Penalty
Ideal Range
Max Range Penalty
Wound Chance
Ideal Attack Bonus

1. +33% Action Cost, +15% Health Cost
2. +33% Action Cost, +15% Ideal Attack Bonus
3. +33% Action Cost, +15% Attack Speed

Those are the power-ups I buy and use. Sometimes I'll even use ones that are +Action/+Damage.

What does it mean when a powerup says +x% damage and plus x% action cost. I'd always assumed that meant the action cost was increased in order to get more damage, because weaponsmiths can add things like scopes when they are crafting the gun and those seem to have that effect. Does it mean they use less action for specials?

Cuts the cost to use a special by 1/3.

VERY useful.

Don't confuse "powerups" with "optional components"

Totally seperate things.

I assumed they were sort of after market optional components, because some of them are the same things as the components, ie stocks and scopes.

A '+' on a powerup is always beneficial. As for the original post, I go for Action cost and just about anything else, but will lean towards max damage, speed,or point blank range mod when I can. I like max damage over min damage because the numeric value of max is bigger, so the same percentage will have a larger increase in average damage if applied to max rather than min. I go for point blank out of the range bonuses because I find that I don't have much problem hitting stuff that's a near con at ideal as-is, and fight at point blank (I don't kite much, I prefer kneeling while being charged and standing if my target closes the distance) much more often than max range.

When I start to PvP a lot more, I might consider some wound increasing stuff if I can get a hold of large percentages. If I could bump a 30% wound chance up to 40%, I probably would, hehe. I figure couple a wound-happy gun with AE shots and I could put a serious dent in their downtime or feasible time spent raiding my city. I might try this a few times and discover that I'm not inflicting serious enough wounds to really accomplish this, however. I figure I'll test the average size of wound inflicted in PvP with some friends sometime.

1.) Health Cost.

2.) Health Cost & Action Cost

or Health Costs and Attack Speed.

And if your on Gorath send a /tell to Eloc I'll buy em all day long. The only place you see weapon power ups are on the friggin bazzar and GOD I hate that thing. I have never seen a +30% weapon power up on the bazzar in Coronet or Kor Vella
