So if loot is not supposed to be better then crafted items. Why is it so for Carbines, pistols i have looted suck, rifles(w/ the execption of Tusken rifles thoughim not sure if those r crafted very often or at all).

Anyway, Tonight I looted a DH17 better then basically anyone can make on the bria server. Its 49/80 24/36/15. Come on all special costs i have seen for the DH17 and most cdefs r atleast twice ashigh then that. Devs get with it, imo i think that carbine skills are just fine, but r weapons r the worst in the game, and on top of that i have loot better then what people can craft. (i like to see grem beat this carbine)

You've dropped the ball devs. the carbine skill tree and the carbineer is fine fix our freakin special costs so, maybe loot wont be better then what people can craft, and we arent the most damaged people in a fight when we dont get hit.

Ooh, that is a good carbine! I picked up a DH17 from a weaponsmith's vendor yesterday with something like 45-110/ 4.0 speed / 47-49-?? HAM before adding aspecial costreducing powerup. I'd take the stormtrooper version with its excellent damage/special cost ratio over an expertly player crafted carbine anyday.

Needless to say, I'm not buying any more weapons until I either completely use up the durability of my current ones or the Devs allow master weaponsmiths to produce better carbines than random drops. Maybe I'll pick up a stormtrooper DH17 if I see one on the Bazaar (hah), killing stormtroopers wouldn't be in-character for me.

Not meaning to argue your point, but could you add the speed of that Storm Trooper carbine when you summarize the stats?

It is indeed frustrating to try the higher level carbines (even ones crafted by a highly skilled weaponsmith with good materials) and end up going back to using a CDEF for the low special costs and good speed. Hope whatever they're going to do to correct the 'bug', they do it soon.
