From my understanding, bleeds do not cause any initial damage, but do the damage listed/tick. IE you shoot a mob with AS1 and hit for 210pts of damage. It takes 210 pts of damage per tick after you shoot it.

i think it should cause an initial tick when you first hit it, but ya...it doesnt...



although it is night to have a creature bleeding 800 damage+ a tick as you pummel it with strings of full auto fire

Because the bleeds currently stack, Gorkart. This may well be a bug (and thus an exploit once they tell us we're not supposed to -- but it's not obvious enough on its own to worry about being called for exploiting) and get changed in the future, but for now, that's the way it works.

another case where better in game documentation would save a lot of frustration. I gave up using action shot because it didn't seem to be doing anything at all.
