Pleas guys, I need help with an issue here:

I can't equip a DH-17 Carbine without them telling me that I still dont have the certification for it and so the damage will be greatly reduced. I have my skill on the advanced level so I really don't know why they don't let me equip it properly, I'm almost certain that the carbine was made by a player but I'm sure the model reads DH-17.

Please help me guys, I'm otherwise stuck with a crappy CDEF, and you all know how lousy they can be!.

is it a factional carbine??, if you bought it off the bazaar that might be the problem. If its all black I think you have to be imperial to use it.

There is a DH17 pistol as well as carbine. The pistol looks like a carbine, is held in two hands, but it's a pistol. You might've gotten one of those instead of the DH17 carbine.

It's a bug that was created when it was made. Some speculate that the crafter zone, or lagged, or something when he/she made the weapon. I've not heard a way to fix this, but it seems to be happening the most on DH17s as that's all I've heard about. You can't fix it, and it isn't specific to you. That means you could give it to me and I couldn't use it either.

I guess you could scam it off to someone else, but I wouldn't do that if I were you.

It's a bug with looted DH17s.

First of all thanx to everyone for answering so promptly:

The first reply mentioned something about it being a factional weapon (all black), that could be the case, since everytime I take a look at it states that it is a "black polished" carbine so maybe that's it. By the way; I did buy it at a Bazaar.

The other replies state that it is a bug. That trully worries me, becauseI havent been able to find another carbine for a long long time, I trully hope the first reply is correct.

If you get a looted "black polished" DH17 carbine... they're bugged atm.
