Thread: Action Shot 1 and 2 after the latest patch

Just looking for a confirmation of my own observations here - it seems the damage on action shot 2 has been reduced to equal or less the damage on action shot 1

Before this latest patch, I was getting damages in the 400-500 range with action shot 2 and a good ee3. Afterwards, with the same blaster, I haven't gotten anything over 290 with action shot 2.

With action shot 1, however, I'm still getting between 150-350, just like before the patch.

If what I'm experiencing is global rather than just a personal bug, the developers have (i hope inadvertently) made action shot 2 worthless, except in the limited instances where area posture change is useful.

Just some random testing on my part, with a decent E11 I've noticed that Chainsaw is correct. Damage output for AS2 appears to have been reduced to around the same as AS1. I did notice a few times where Debilitating shot did less than Impairing, but not that often. You can however still stack bleeds with AS1 and 2.

That might just be the bonus they are looking for. Since those 2 attacks do diffrent kind of action bleeds, the AS2 is seen as a bonus since they assume you'll use it twice, thus putting 2 bleeds on something.

But, I would have been okay with the same damage, but both attacks do the same bleed damage.

So can anyone explain this difference in bleeds? What type of bleed does AS 2 do? What type for AS 1? Can you not stack AS 2 bleeds? Just a little confused. Thanks.

yup, now my pistoleer/smuggler friend can out-dps me by an insane amount. his biggest comment (not complaint...he's been in favor of the chain-knockdown nerf, just not how it was implemented) was that he now has to be a little bit careful when soloing giant baz nitches. this reduciton in the bleed damage effectively takes me out of the solo market until i get my ch skills up (i joined the herd, at least the profession works.../moo) or i use an exploit i found that makes me feel sooo cheap.

/sigh

I noticed it too, and glad to see the confirmation so I'm not longer scratching my head.

I have noticed this as well. I believe that SOJ should use any channels he has to notify someone at SOE to be sure this nerf was supposed to take place.

For instance, weapon's are losing durability mighty fast now and Holocron has said that was a bug.

There are unintended changes in this patch and until we here SOE say they intended to nerf ActionShot2 I tihnk we should assume it is a bug.

It's not really 2 different kind of bleeds, it's just 2 seperate bleeds. I guess I should have explained more. Both still do action damage. When you get hit with both AS1 and AS2, a doctor must spend time working on each bleed separately. This takes time as you might know. The Master Doctors I know still need 3 or 4 shots to stop a bleed. With this dual bleed, they now need 6 or 8 shots. Makes healing in battle tough and a royal pain in the ass for the other side.

Both hit. They stack.

Yeah, and I'd suggest pulling out the backup carbine until they patch the decay rates. Don't wanna' melt down the laser.

Forgive me, but I'm a newb to these bleed shots (action shots).

If I use a Action1, and it hits the head (blue number rises), it's still the Action Bar that is bleeding right?
