Thread: Which 2 branches in Carbineer to advance?
Hey all. I am a Master Doctor. I only have enough skill points to advance 2 branches in Carbineer. Which 2 do you suggest?
Carbine Assault Tactics - Carbine Spd +20, Scatter Shot 2, Wild Shot 2
Carbine Marksmanship- Carbine Accuracy +30, Leg Shot 3, Crippling Shot
Carbine Counterinsurgency Tactics - Counterattack +20, Burst Shot 2, Suppression Shot 2, Defense Vs. Knockdown and Intimidation
Carbine Special Abilites - Accuracy while moving +20, Full Auto Area 2, Charge Shot 2
Right now, I am leaning toward Counterinsurgency and Special Abilities. How do the special attacks compare to each other?
Well, since Branch 4 is from Combat XP, that one will be independent of the other three..
From Carbine XP, it's a factor of how you play. A lot of people like Burst Shot. Personally, I'm going to go up the 1st tree with Scatter Shot 2 as my goal. Partly because I'm a Squad Leader, so my main purpose won't be to do tons of up front damage, but to help damage out for the group, which scatter shot will let me do best since it hits multiple pools.
Why?
Id like to Keep Novice medic, its horrible out in the game, if our a solo operator without medic, ick.
I use scatter2 religiously. It works really well when you are hunting with pistoleers, as most of the dmg will go into health, and its low action cost with a huge dmg multiplier.
I think burstshot2 will be very nice, as burstshot 1 is effective for the ham (equiv dmg to fullauto2 with 70% or so the action cost) but can still dmg random pools. Scattershot 2 IMO is better because it will dmg random pools but does the dmg to several at the same time...so is actually pretty dangerous.
Charge shot is nice to have as it is a KD not just a posture change, so I think going special abilities is a good call.
