Can anyone give me the pro's and cons? Why would I choose Carbineer over Bounty Hunter? Seeing as you also have the bounty hunter ability to specialise in pistols.
Thanks

Here's why...

Because if you master bounty hunter, you will have 33 points left to do something else.

A master carabineer has 158 points left to do something else.

Even if you only take the Bounty Carbine tree and stop when you get the fourth tier, you will only have 76 points left.

Ok, so if I weren't interested in artisan, entertainer, CH, or melee, what do you recommend I spend the points on? The only option an elite weapon profession has to spend his points becoming more combat effective is CH. This is what we complain about. What good are the points when you can't use them to improve a combat character? If you don't want to be a CH+weapon, you get 92 points of combat abilities, and then nothing to spend the rest on combat in a constructive way.

get a melee profession, if nothing else for the defense bonouses. Say you got 2handed master and carbine master. You would then have a counter attack of 45 or something. This is not somethign people will be expecting, your counter attacks will go off much more often than the regular carbineer. Also you gain extra knockdown, posturechange and ranged defense. Any of the melee profesions have large amounts of defensive bonouses which caribneer is lacking. Picking up one of these will help your skill imensly.

Yes Kaffis, I also would suggest a melee profession. However, If you are REALLY opposed to melee for some reason, I would say get another weapon. Why not have carbine for long range, and pistol when they get up close?

I agree to spec in a melee wep, im using 2h and carbine right now in fact, and if they ever get Counter attack working ill have a 45 bonus in it... i can imagine the combat spam now....

Sniperdood hits you with headshot3 for 1200 damage, but you counteratack and hit him for 80 dmg

If you want to be and elite combat profession, Choose either pistol or carbine. Master there respctive profession, and take there line in the bounty hunter tree combine that with 3 boxes of investigation then bam you a bad boy.
