Area of Effect is a misnomer. Grenades do AoE. The correct term here should be "multiple targets" or "spray fire." Meaning, you hit multiple mobs with one attack rather than a single target.

AS2 hits multiple targets with a bleed effect. Think of it as a cone coming from your gun. The radius of the cone is 15 meters for AS2.

Hey fellow carbine specialists I have a question.

I read all these posts in here about Action shot II being used against MOB's and having an area effect?

I am not seeing this "area effect". Am I targeting wrong ?

I just hit my alt key to cycle to my closest target and thencommence attack.

What am I doing wrong?

I use the tab key, but I think the basic concept you are looking for is to get them all bleeding. Then just go back and mop up. You might have to do two or three rounds of bleeding if the mobs are big.
