A little while ago, the Devs said they're working on it. How is it now?

I was going to be a commando, but since it's horribly bugged, may want to try carbineer. But then this is bugged too. Boy, I'm a glutton for punishment...

Everything is bugged in some way because the game is still young. It is just a matter of whether or not the bugs are so severe as to make a profession unfun/unplayable. I'm not a full fledged carbineer yet but I hope to be soon. So far, even though I'm using a CDEF, I have had no trouble taking missions, killing whites,earning credits, and contributing to groups. Maybe this changes as you get higher up the carbineer scale, but I would say carbineers are playable right now, even though it doesn't always make sense to upgrade your weapon (especially if you like to use a lot of specials).

That said, changes are needed to make the profession what it was intended to be. Some changes are coming.Scroll down to read Holo's post on upcoming carbine fixes which may help.
