I am pretty new to the game, but I just achieved pistol specialist. I am wondering whether to continue to up the pistoleer tree or experiment with carbines and rifles. I want to know everyone else's opinion on which is the best out of the three. Which can the best weapons, best moves, and also the most problems? Thanks for the help!

I would have to say that the pistol is my over all favorite weapon in the game. I can fight pointblank with it and run around like a headless chicken and hardly miss a shot. I also love the roll and dive moves and such. I'm going for Bounty Hunter and training rifle is just killing me cause i hate it so much. So i vote pistol

It's very difficult to say this is best or that is best. That's the great thing about this game - what's best for you may not be what's best for someone else. It depends on what you want to become and what you want to do.

That said. I dig pistols the most. But then I haven't tried anything else. I grouped up with this guy last night who had a carbine that kicked azz.

Rifle is my choice. You struggle at first because you fire so slowly and your accuracy is poor. But at higher levels your accuracy and speed increase by leaps and bounds. At master rifleman, you can pump out 3 headshots per second - according to some accounts. No one will even get near you.

As it stands now, the pistol is the superior weapon hands down. this however most likely will change, as pistol will be nerfed to bring it down to be more in line with opther weapons and carbines will have their action costs eased and their ranged knockdown will be nerfed somewhat also.

3 headshots a second would hurt heh. . . I might not like rifles but i'll admit that they pack a punch hehe

I know 3 headshots per second is a bit of an exaggeration but I heard that you will be able to fire very fast with INSANE accuracy.

Well I am close to master marksman and With my DLT20a and headshot 2 I can do upwards of 500 damage in 1 shot.

Expert rifle here and with my laser rifle, I routinely do over 1k damage (yes, 1000) with headshot 2.

Pick a giant beastie, drop my probe droid on it to keep it in one place, run back 50 meters, go prone and pick it apart. With MOBs that have at least 6k in mind, I kill it before the droid does, even with my 7.1 firing speed. Either way, I get a lot of exp.

about how much are the HAM amounts on a probe droid ?
