Thread: Who Should Be Our Correspondent?
Q-3PO locked his thread on this.
I assume that every profession will have one of these.
I hope to be the Squad Leader correspondent, thus, while I enjoy being very active on the Carbineer boards, someone who is more of a pure-combatant (I play a support role) should have this role.
Personally, I think SOJ is best suited, but may not want the burden or responsibility. He does a great job here on these boards, and I think he would represent us well.
I think just about anyone who's been active on these boards would work, just curious about who is going to respond?
You have all my support in that endeavor and I will continue to try and be very active here to make that task easier.

I'm going to respond. Sadly, I have more time to absorb and summarize the discussions here in the forums than I have time to work my way to master Carabineer (I should hit novice sometime Saturday). I've beengoing with the more organic, advance as I play approach rather than consciously grinding for optimal experience.
Good luck with the application for Squad Leader correspondant Volatris. ![]()
Olon, your post about CDEF/DH17 damage/regen was most excellent.
You would do this job very very well.
I understand the part about spending more times on the forums than in-game, I'm probably guilty of that myself ![]()
Here's to making SWG better!
Sure, I'll take a shot at it. I think this correspondent thing is pretty nice. Now when we all sit here and argue and make discussions about something, someone has a job to get something sensible out of it. ![]()
Good luck to all of those who chose to participate and help out SWG.
I know I haven't spoken up much, but that's because I've been over yelling at the artisans about item decay, hehe. But rest assured I've been reading.
Volatris, much as I wish you were applying for Carbine correspondent, I'm glad to see you well on your way to corresponding for SL, as that's my main character's other planned long-term advanced profession, I think.
As for what that means for who I would cast a vote for, I would fully support SOJ. Olin I'm sure would dutifully and enthusiastically report concerns between the Devs and the boards, but I think to truly correspond, it may be better to have personal experience with the issues that come up, rather than constantly polling the boards to find out about the problems they don't face yet. SOJ has demonstrated this experience, and some contrasting experiences as an ex-Pistoleer. I think this perspective should prove valuable in making comparisons in his correspondence with the Devs.

While somehow I doubt the selection process will be democratic, I definitely agree that SOJ would be an excellent representative.
I'm happily lurking away and posting when I feel I can add something constructive. I'm still willing to serve if called upon (perhaps later on when the Devs choose different reps for diversity), but I concede that SOJ is the best choice for representative of those who we know have volunteered.
Enjoy the Action everyone!
Thank you all very much.
I just do what I can to help out. I don't have any experience with a Master Carbineer character. In the Beta I was a BH Pistol/Pistoleer who almost mastered each of those. A good IRL friend of mine was a BH Carbine/Carbineer and I've playedhis character a few times. I can't say that I amas qualified as some people since most of my time in the Beta was running around with a pistol. But I am working very hard on the carbineer skills.
I think that anyone who applies and is willing to try will do a great job. I am looking forward to some future Correspondents such as Olon and even you, Volatris. You better sign up later. ![]()
/Salute for those who are willing to take this responsibility.
Thanks again for your kind words.
thanks guys, for caring so much.
So Q can see. He said he was looking at class correspondents.
Well i definitely have to say that from what ive read i would support SOJ or Volatris. Although Preferably SOJ will be picked cause Vol is needed at Squad Leader.
I should also mention this.
Call me stupid, i guess
I frequent the forums, and never unitl this morning at 5 am in my dissapointment-for-the-server-going-down stuppor, i stumbled upon profession specific threads......TADA.......
Now, ive been considering theCarbineer/Squad leader template, ive read all the many posts on broken-useless and generally non working skills and abilitieson both professions, and because of the complete and thorough information providedby our two candidates, im gonna stick with both.
All I ask is for a stim here or there when u see me runningfrom amob that hasnt touched me, but that for some reason has me down 800 points in action...................................
