I always thought carbines were grenades and thermal detonators... today i looted a carbine from a some savage near my guild hall and it looke like a gun. So what exactly is a carbine... what is it used for... and what is the carbineer profession based upon?

A carbine is a shortened, more compact rifle, typicallycapable of automatic fire. It originated as a term for rifles modified to fire from horseback.

In game terms, that means we get armor penetration like rifles, and fit in as a compromise middleground between rifles and pistols in speed, damage, and ideal range.

the US army used Carbines in WW2 as the stardard weapons for Medics and Cooks ..

It tooks less training too use effectively then riffle it also uses pistol calibur amunition instead of riffle calibur

the modern army special forces usualy use carbines now because they are smaller and lighter then a standerd assualt riffle
